i have been training in martial arts for years and i had to quit the style i trained in because my body could not take the movements any more. I am a black belt in TKD and i pretty much left it because the style is no longer for the body i have. I broke my leg and i have to pins in it so i cant jump around as much as i used to because the pain is to much and things like doubles round kick hurt me so much i cant walk straight for a week. well let me know your story and how you over came it like for ex: if you left the style and went to an other one ,, or made your own style or just stopped all together. ninja ninja ninja ninja ninja

there was a saying that the teacher has to build the lesson around you, if u cant do jumps/kicks, then theres a way to get around that i think, like using the edge of the foot to slid down your opp. leg, or small kicks that require little movement, or arm techniques?. tai chi also, even though people says its slow, its a good way to get a feel for your opp energy , manipulatet it, with out exerting your own (from what I understand)
as for me, I had to leave my dojo for a bit. Loosing my job put a huge dent in my ability to pay for things, So I could not pay for class
