Rocket took a deep breath as he glanced around nervously. He managed to sneak up to the teepee undetected so far. 'Big deal...' he sulked as he looked around. He would have waited til night was on him to have gone deep into the center of the village but his hunger for scraps made him arrive to early. Looking around he felt exposed, he had chosen a teepee on the outskirts of the village where hopefully no one was around. Now all he had to do was get under it. He carefully started to wedge himself but stopped quickly as a low growling sound filled the teepee.
"oh..." he yanked himself out of the spot as a wolf stuck his head under the teepee and snapped at him. He quickly bolted away at the sound of quickly approaching two-leggers. He only stopped after he couldn't hear the wolf or anymore two-leggers.
He paused as looked around, he had ran along the outskirts and found this areaof the village to be quiet... almost too quiet. He moved past the ones on the outskirts and found himself completely alone. What luck he had them over where the wolf was barking now was the time to get some food.
He glanced upwards noticing the darkening sky and felt better knowing soon he will be hidden in the shadows of the night. It was then that he began to sniff around at the teepee's for any good scents.

Lurnu breathed calmly. His eyes were closed and was completely relaxed. He had escaped the horrible shouting of his teepee a few minutes better. His Soquili, Selena, was yelling at the stallion of the teepee, Rockstar, once more for singing too loudly. The fighting made Lurnu sad and worried so he enjoyed flying away to the quiet sounds of the forest near the village. he enjoyed the voices of the two-leggers and the flickering light of their red flowers. Fire. His mouth curled up into a gentle smile. It was so peaceful here. Suddenly her hear a far off barking. He opened one eye to look for danger. Silly me, nothing can get me from atop this tree branch. I am perfectly hidden. he decided as he hung upside down from the sturdy branch of a great elm.

"Finally" he happily cried out from inside of a strangers teepee. He recognised the smell of smoke. He glanced around and then looked up. His high hopes quickly crashed down. All the smoked meat was tied to ropes hanging close to the top. No dogs, lot's of meat, but out of range... "Tonight is not going well..." he muttered miserably to himself. His belly growled and he sighed before leaving the teepee.
'Maybe I'll try to fish' he pondered and looked back towards the tree's on the outskirts of the village. He stopped and though about snacking on a few berries before trying to find a stream. He was gonna leave but another warning from his belly stopped him, and caused him to turn around and go towards the bushes.
'That's better!' he happily dug into a rather large berry and wrestled with the stem that refused to let go making for a rather noisy meal.

By the time this other familiar had entered and exited the teepee, Lurnu had fallen into a light, dreamless sleep. His breathing was slow, so it made him even more invisible. Te only part of his being that could have made him vulnerable was a great, red R on his chest. The same letter as the one on his mare's scarf. But it was well hidden by his wing. So now he hung, perfectly safe in his tree, sleeping contently. Until her heard a loud rustling of leaves and twigs right under him. He snapped out of his state and looked down, to see what was making so much noise. I hope its nothing too big... But all he saw under him was the berry bush, he saw nothing else for awhile. But he kept his eyes fixed on it. there was no wind, so something must have made the noise. Suddenly, a dark animal reveled itself. it would have been hidden by the quickly arriving darkness, but it had several red markings that stood out like a light in the twilight. But one of these marks made Lurnu's eyes widen. An R. Her spread his wings wide and let go of the branch, making it shake lightly. He swooped down towards the other familiar, landing on the bush.
"Are you hungry?"

The a light sound caused him to pause and glance around and then seeing a dark shadow moving closer and landing on the bush in front of him. He must have been the most pitiful looking ferret in existance. There he was with a berry crammed in his mouth and juice covering his front. He swallowed as quickly as he could.
He wanted to know more about this stranger in front of him. He noted the bright red R on the strangers chest, like the one that adorned his hindleg. Finishing up the berry he took a second to catch his breath and heard the question.
"I'm starving" he responded then he paused to clean up the juice that was left on him. He didn't like feeling dirty much less sticky. "What kind of animal are you?" he inquired noting this was the first time he saw such a creature. Thankfully this other animal wasn't too big to spook him off but not small enough to consider a possible meal.
Also, something seemed wrong eating an animal that could talk back... and there was something else the red R that sealed the day.
"Are you by any chance hungry as well?" he asked as a plan slowly emerged in the back of his mind.

:Lurnu smiled at the ferret. He could see that the poor creature was hungry, "I could help you find a more suitable meal if you wish." He said, spreading out his wings to show off his ability of flight. "I am a bat, Ferret. I am a rodent that can fly." He responded as well with flapping and hovering over the bush, and then landing on it once more. He took a berry from the top the the plant and nibbled on it, "I am not too hungry, I had a very nice meal of a few fire flies and a moth. But I would love a snack," he said with a mischievous wink.

'A rodent that can fly...' he watched him spread out his wings to show his ability to fly. He watched the bat munch on a berry from the top of the bushes. "Do you have a name?" he inquired before adding "I'm Rocket."
He listened as the bat explained his meal and the only thing he could think of was the words 'Light Meal' but perked up at the mention of a snack. "Do you like the smoked meat the two-leggers eat?" he asked matching his companion of the night michievious wing with an equal mischievious smile.
