It was a cool and refreshing night, with clouds high and faint in the sky and a light breeze tickling the dried grass all around. A white lioness prowled about warily, using the moonglow and heightened senses to keep aware of her surroundings. No need to get maimed by a pack of hyenas, eh? Though she had made sure to clean her paws and lips of any scent from her recent dinner. Maybe the carcass left behind would distract any predators from coming her way.
Taking a glance to the left, Inija coiled her star struck tail as she noticed a fairly large puddle. Not at all the watering hole, and likely not as fresh...but any water in these lands were too precious to pass up. With a prance to her step, thanks to food fuel, the femme made her way over to the body of water. No telling just who else she'd meet along the way....

Touched by moonlight, an adult female lioness stalked the shadows. She blinked and her hungry eyes lit with the brilliant flare of moonbeams.
Mchawi was not hungry for she and her brother had worked hard to bring an antelope down only yesterday. They'd even found a place to hide the carcass to which they could return at a later time.
No. Her eyes were not hungry for food. They were hungry with curiosity at the figure that also skulked...no, not skulked. This one did not skulk. She drew closer, seeing the water reflect the night sky in all its wonderful glory. A smile touched her face but it was not kind. Was this one of the ones she had been seeking? Her visions had been tormenting her recently, so fragmented that she could make no sense of them. Either way, it wasn't often you met another during such an hour.
Maybe this was a sign.
She approached, guardedly, and then lifted her head high, growling in a way to warn of her approach.

It was the sound of crushed grass that made Inija perk her ears to begin with. She cast her eyes around intensely to find the source, hoping if anything it was just a small prey. But the sound that followed, well, it didn't feel like something small and frightened. It was then that Inija noticed her. It was another lioness and by the looks of it...she seemed quite frazzled. Or maybe it was just the shadows cast by the moon? Either way, the white lioness was sure to move her unguarded rear away from the other predator. No need for a chunk of her tail or legs to get chomped at, eh? And with that, Inija ignored the other for the sake of a calm refreshment this night.

"You are wise enough, then, not to keep your back turned to me." Mchawi hissed quietly. "But not to keep your eyes on me is a mistake. One wrong move and my claws will be in you, girl."
She sneered, a lip curling in her maw. Mchawi was in a particularly bad mood tonight, it seemed. She paused, body tensing, and her tattered ear twitched with irritation.
"Answer me quick, girl, where am I? If I follow this track will I come to the desert?" She had been spending the last couple of days trying to gather her bearings and now she'd found someone who could hopefully help her.
