 Finally, it was beginning to get cooler in the plains. Since Ritalin could remember it was unbearably hot in the summer, which lead to humidity, which lead to messed up hair. Ritalin hated when his hair was messed up by the humidity, thus he hated summer. Hair aside, there was another reason he despised the hot season. Birds. Birds dropped their feathers wherever they went, and he had to step on them, dirtying his hooves. What was worse was that all of these birds had the ugliest of feathers, so he couldn't even step on something pretty. He despised the disease ridden things.
But then fall came, and fall was good. Fall announced the departure of the birds and the humidity, while ushering in prettier things. Like the leaves of all sorts of colors. Reds, yellows, oranges, purples, those leaves were beautiful. Nearly at his level of beauty.
And so Ritalin smiled as he walked the plains, looking at the ugly geese fly away in their 'V', leaving early to get the best trees he supposed. Fall was coming, and his beauty would shine with the absence of those that were ugly.

(sorry for the wait -- I've been feeling like hell @_@)  Fall was coming earlier in the higher woods near the mountains then down in the plains, and yet the dark furred Soquili was glad to see the leaves changing colors. Taking a deep breath of the crisping air, Anjanas relaxed, her wings, so dainty and delicate when she was small, slapping like leather blankets against her side at her full size, the glittering ridged scales easy to spot, overlapping like shingles on her proportionally small wings. She cocked her head as she spotted a white stallion in the distance, the white blinding against the darkness of the forest, "... lovely day, is it not?"

He had already felt her eyes on him before she spoke. He hadn't heard any sounds of filthy feathers beating through the wind, or of wind slapping leathery wings, so he figured that this one could be graced by his presence. Slowly cantering around to see the mare who had spoken, he quickly found himself smiling at what he saw.
She was a Flutter, one of the Soquili breeds he hardly ever saw. He enjoyed their personalities, he hardly ever met one that was rude or snobbish, unlike those fools in the skies who thought they were superior with their filthy vile feathers. He gave her wings a quick glance, taking note of their elegance and the scales that glimmered in the sun. The wings of Flutters were far more beautiful than those of Kalonas or Winds.
"Why I do believe so my lady, but nothing in comparison to you." He easily shifted into his lucrative tone of speech, easily approaching the mare and circling her. "May I know the name of the maiden with such fair wings?"
(( I swear he's not hitting on her, he does this to everybody. xD It's part of his method for getting Soquili addicted to him. ))

(Barg -- I thought I posted to this already. DX So sorry! I distinctly remember writing out something here, so I guess it was one of those times where Firefox crashed and I raged about losing an rp and moped about it for a while.)
Blinking, the chocolatey mare rose a brow delicately, her eyes a bright green, matching the bright gems decorating her person, her wings slapping lightly against her side as the proportionally small wings rested against the barrel of her body, "....I'm Anjanas. And yourself?" She smiled warmly, expression bright.
It wasn't often that she was greeted so politely, "I'm not intruding on your territory, I hope...?"

"Anjanas? How beautiful; it's surely fitting for a mare like yourself." Ritalin smiled, stopping his canter - it was probably seen as a threatening gesture, or him being protective of his territory. In fact, Anjanas even asked if she was intruding on his territory. How horribly rude of him to have made such a gesture.
"Ah, my apologies, I didn't mean to seem threatening my dear - and no, your presence here is most welcome. Surely you are more appealing to the eye than the trash that litters these grasses. I do hope that you don't mind the filth." He was referring to the feathers that were scattered around the yellow grasses. He hoped dearly that the wind might take the feathers away, or that they would degrade quickly and become dirt, something that he didn't mind walking on, seeing as it was all over the place.
"Would you mind dearly if I took you on a tour of my home?"
