It was so...silent. Except for the rustle of the trees' leafs, the birds chirping and the occasional rustle of the grass when some small critter hurried to get away from the path of the large cats, there was not a sound to be heard. Frost suppressed a shiver. It was so unnatural.
They had just passed trough the passage leading into the valley. Some time ago a Watcher would have stopped them from entering. The Warriors responsible fro guarding the entrance would have come, demanding to know who dared venture into these lands and for what purpose. But not today. The Valley was completely deserted. Frost had harbored some faint hope that some of the Clan had remained here. However, the rogues had occupied the Valley for a while after the raid and by the time they had left, no one dared to return.
But not me. Frost thought with a smile. He was here and he had brought back at least some of the scattered members. The Clan would be reborn. And in time, maybe more would return. With these thoughts in mind the Protector picked up his entered further into the lands, leading his make-shift group towards the Stone Circle.
Eirwen followed her brother, equally unnerved by the lifeless valley. "It certainly is very quiet, isn't it?" She said warily, stating the obvious. She remembered laughter filling the place as many cubs pounced around playing and trying to out-wit their Caretakers, but never succeeded. How she missed those times.... Now at least she had her brother, before she was all alone in a world she knew nothing of. Along with the sadness over what she had lost, there was also happiness that she had come home after all this time.
She turned to the group following them. "It's good to be home, isn't it?" She asked with a smile. "How do you like it here, little one?" She looked at Kerr trotting beside her. It was amazing how quickly she had gotten attached to the young cub. He even called her 'mommy' sometimes. At first she had taken him in because he had no one to take care of him, but she had quickly found that she liked being a mother. And Kerr was a smart boy.
The green cub hurried up to catch up to his adoptive mother as he had fallen a little behind. "I like it!" He said happily. Even as they walked in his mind he was marking down some interesting places to explore. Living in one place would be a completely new experience for him as was living with a group this large. And from what he had picked up from the adult's conversations it was only going to get bigger. It made him a little nervous but he reminded himself he had Eirwen. As long as she was with him all would be well.

http://i769.photobucket.com/albums/xx339/brigkassrik/Uncerts/GlowyFemale-1.pngShaleir followed quietly along behind the alpha and his family. Her ears were held at a low alert, finding herself just as disturbed as they were. Her eyes flitted to and fro, when one of those critters would skitter away. ~Well, there's food aplenty, it seems.~ She thought. ~At least we don't have to repopulate more than ourselves...~ She smiled down at the cub, nodding at the questions asked, despite not really paying attention to them. "It is... But... We'll fix the silence after awhile." Silence was, after all, comforting, but at the same time, when you prefer the sounds of little ones laughing and running around after that tiny mouse that wandered into one of the dens, it was terribly unnerving. At the moment, her thoughts turned to the den where the young were to be staying: That would have to be cleaned and cared for, before anything else, as far as she was concerned. After all, you can't raise cubs if you don't have a clean, well-groomed den to do it in. So... For now, to the stone circle, it was! Lord Frost, And what remained-... No, what... rebirthed the clan again. The vale would be filled with the voices and coos of cubs, yet.

FalknirFalknir sniffed the air cautiously as Frost led the pack (pride?) into their territory. It felt so...eerie, so unfamiliar. The cub wrinkled his nose as the tang of fresh, untainted grass hit his nostrils. H lagged behind the rest of the groups, his nose literally stuck to the ground when he walked, sniffing like a tracking dog. His head shot up as a gnat landed on his nose, and he went cross-eyed trying to look at it. Finally he sat on his hind legs and batted at his nose with his front paws franctically, trying to get the gnat off. He was always skittish and uneasy about entering a strange and unfamiliar territory.

Shale hung back when she noticed the distract in Falknir's nose, smiling back at him. "Come along, little one. Or you'll miss our return to the Circle," she cooed softly.. Warningly, almost, though her words were as inviting as she could make them. She giggled softly, remembering when she'd been that curious. "I suppose there's a lot to smell, though. Come on, you can smell things once we get to the Circle. There will be plenty to smell." She giggled softly, nudging him from behind softly in the hopes that he would go along with that plan.

FalknirFalknir lifted his head when Shaleir told him to hurry along, a blade of grass stuck to his nose. He nodded and was about to get going when he felt his nose becoming itchy. He wrinkled his nose and wriggled it, the blade of grass tickling him. Suddenly... "A-A-Atchoo!" He sneezed and the blade of grass floated onto the ground form his nose. He scrunched up his nose and shook his head, and only started walking when he felt Shaleir's nose nudge him from behind. Yes yes, he knew he had to hurry up...but there was so much to discover, so much he did not know!

She chuckled softly, following along behind him. "There will be plenty of time to discover things once we settle in, little one." She giggled and followed after him, glancing back at the rest of the pride, wondering where they might be, or if they would be coming later. She smiled softly, wondering if she'd get to see the first hunt of any of the young soon. "For now, let's just try not to have you sneeze your health away, okay?"
She watched him skitter ahead, smiling. "I wonder if the Circle still smells of the Old ones..."

Falknir"Little? I'm not little, I'm BIIIIIG!" Falknir turned around and said indignantly, even stood on his hind legs and spread both front legs as wide as he could to emphasise how big he was. He scrunched up his nose in a scowl at the thought that Shaleir called him "little one". "See? I'm almost as big as YOU are!" Falknir trotted up to Shaleir, trying to bounce as high as he could with each step. Saying he was as big as Shaleir was a very big exaggeration, since he was smaller than even half her size.

Shale grinned and chuckled, dropping to the ground slowly as he did. "Well, yes, I suppose you are..." She cooed, watching him, before playfully tackling him to roll around in the dirt a little. "But I bet'cha can't pin me!" She taunted, breaking from their ball of dirt-rolled fur to run after Frost and the other two, teasing her tail back and forth at him, daring him to follow along and tackle her back. "Come GET me, Falknir!" She called, again tauntingly.
She stuck her tongue out and let her steps grow a bit more danc-ey as she performed, just beyond his paws' immediate reach.
