Warm breeze...birds...sunshine...The love fae lounged on the branch of a nearby tree. He never ventured too far from Headquarters, in case his daughter needed something. But it was just such a beautiful day...he couldn't stay cooped inside. Even if she didn't want to share it. "Kids...they never appreciate the little things in life."

Elizabeth....had needed to get out of the house. It was a gorgeous day outside, and she definitely needed to get away from the loud, inquisitive Kieran and her sister and her...children.

Running a hand through her short, dark hair, Elizabeth walks along the beaten path, enjoying the sunshine and being alone.

He whistled softly to himself as he closed his eyes, soaking up the sun like his sister's familiar cat. Could a day ever be more perfect? His ears perked at a sound, and a single amber eye opened. Suddenly, the day just got better. His other eye opened as he smiled charmingly below him. "You know, I had come out to enjoy the beauty of the day...but I think I've found something much more pleasing to the eye. Who might you be?"

Elizabeth looks up to where the voice had come from. "By the Old Ones...is there no place where a body can be alone?" she asks grumpily, folding her arms across her chest.

"Tell me, tree spirit, do you make a habit of spying on women as they walk and meditate?"

He laughed softly, jumping off the branch to land gently in front of the female. "A habit? No...I just happened to be at the right place at the right time." He flashed a small smile before slightly bowing. "Tristen at your service. Sorry to intrude on your solitude. But I was hoping, would you take a walk with me? The days beauty is lost without someone to share it with."

"Mhm," says Elizabeth, unconvinced. "If you can persuade me that I'm better off in your presence than alone, you may accompany me. However, I should tell you that my purpose for being out here is to be alone. So the task won't be easy, I assure you."

He shook his head, still smiling. Occasionally, he did meet the odd female who wouldn't be charmed immediately. But he refused to use his power. Lost the challenge that way. "It's obvious you are not one to fall for the typical male means. I can't say that I'll sweep you off your feet. I can't say that I'm the one for you. I can't offer you objects, and you very well might be better off on your own. I can however, promise to try my best to make our meeting worthwhile, if you would give me the chance." Soft amber eyes looked earnestly into her brilliant blue.

"And all you wish to do is walk and talk with me?" asks the rational Elizabeth, arching a mistrustful eyebrow. Fraternizing with strange men is what had gotten Amapola into all the trouble she's in. Elizabeth is certain she doesn't want to be so quick to trust this charming stranger.

He chuckled softly, warmly. The smile on his face reached his eyes as he never took his gaze away from hers. "Believe me, my dear angel. I will do nothing you do not wish me to do." It was effortless, without the slightest hesitation. Slowly he extended his hand, palm up in a gentlemanly offering for her to take for their walk. "The day is yours to choose."

"Nothing you do not wish me to do," she repeats, mocking him slightly. "Honestly, you make it sound as if I'll be on my knees begging for your attention by the end of this exchange." Elizabeth rolls her eyes.

"Hardly." He snorted slightly, genuinely amused. Just as he thought she was beginning to fold, she surprised him. "I do not boast what I cannot promise. I only aim to make this beautiful day more enjoyable."

Still rather unsure of his intentions, but rather amused by his antics, Elizabeth nods once. "Very well, tree spirit. I'll walk with you for a while, but only for a little." Ye gods, to borrow an expression from Amapola, charm drips from this one like oil.

What was sad, was his last sentence wasn't meant to be particularly charming. It was honest truth, since his daughter wouldn't enjoy the day with him. He flashed a bit of a grin before moving his hand forward to have her lead. After all, it was her walk he was interrupting. "I can settle for a little."

"Uh-huh," says Elizabeth flatly before moving along down the path, hands on her hips. "So what is it you said your name was?" she inquires.

"Tristen." He spoke almost hopefully. He hadn't missed the second mention of 'tree spirit'. How did she get tree spirit from a fae-e-e-rie...Amber eyes couldn't help but notice how her hips swayed. He swallowed and quickened his step to walk beside her, quietly exhaling. Least she couldn't have caught him staring. "And yours? Unless I'm allowed to call you Angel all day."
