The eerie cold wind blew mercilessly at Dr Kyou as he searched the street, ruffling his neatly combed hair. It is strange how the atmosphere changed when he entered this particular street, it's as if something sinister and mysterious roamed the dark corridors. Clutching onto the paper in his hand tightly, lest it flew away in another gust of wind, he looked at the address again to determine if he is at the correct place.

"It should just be around this corner." he muttered to himself as he walked pass seemingly empty old shop lots. The street itself looked pretty abandoned too, save for the lone homeless beggar sitting further down the street. Kyou had to wonder why the old fellow didn't beg at somewhere with more population.

Turning the corner, he finally found his destination. The shop's window dark, shuttered, the old wooden signboard worn and faded. Still the shop's name etched into it reads clearly - Daemonolgic. The shop exterior blends in well with it's surroundings and easily missable if no one is particularly looking for it. Walking up to the door, Kyou stuffed the piece of paper into his pockets. With his other hand, he nervously clutched onto the antique briefcase handle, the weight of the item inside seemed more burdening to him than before. First encounters always makes him nervous, especially at a shop like this. Looking at the clawed door knocker, he don't know what to expect. But he still needed to go through this, since he had made all the way here already. Drawing in a deep breath, he gathered up his courage and knocked twice clearly with the clawed door knocker.

Hae-min answered the door rather promptly and had a welcoming smile for Kyou as she peered up at the darkening sky through her bangs. "Hello," she said, "Are you here to see Mr. Fauste or Mr. Mhin?" For some rather nonsensical reason, she giggled after saying it, and then tilted her head. "Come inside, before it rains. I'll get Edward for you, okay?"

The dark-haired woman hurried off, and shortly after a rather tall, rather handsome man took her place. In a courteous tone, he said, "Hae-min told me you had need of me?"

Kyou walked in cautiously after the mysterious girl welcomed her in, examining the interior of the shop. Before Kyou could introduce himself or ask for her name though, she had disappeared as swiftly as she appeared. He was closing the door behind him when a man's voice greeted him.

"Oh yes!" Kyou exclaimed, turning around to face the taller man. "I assume you are... Mr Edward? My name is Kyou, I'm a scientist that owns a laboratory on Gambino Isle." he extended a hand for the handsome man, a proper introduction would hopefully be the best way to start.

"I um, I dwell in a bit of dark arts you see." Kyou said, as if the horns and long elf ears aren't indication enough. He shifted his tail nervously underneath the long coat. "I have this book, called 'Age Old Book of Summons'." heaving up the suitcase, he popped the latch open to reveal the antique book sitting within. "I am trying to summon a demon, but unfortunately one of the crucial pages were torn out. I heard that you deal with summons here, so I figured that there's a chance that you might have the exact same book." he explained. "I was wondering if you could borrow it to me, or just let me copy out the instructions and information on the torn page?"

With a curt nod, Edward shook Kyou's hand and then settled against a bookshelf, arms crossed over his chest, to await the reason the man had come. By and large he had a healthy respect for science, but he did have to wonder why a scientist would come all the way to a demon-summoning shop in Durem. Really, what he did was very far from science...

"Hm," said Edward; he reached out to the book, flipping open the cover with a considering look in his eyes. Normally he didn't desire to deal with other dark arts practitioners; it only led to grief, in his well-formed and closely held opinion. Yet, if Hae-min had let this man in, then it would be prudent to help him and not risk angering the petite woman. (Angering Hae-min was often like stirring up a volcano. You wouldn't hear from it right away, but you would know when it got its revenge.)

He closed the book and stepped away to one of the taller shelves; reaching up, he removed the pertinent tome. A cloud of dust flew out from the covers as he opened it, settling into Edward's hair like white powder and coating his sleeves as well. "Please, call me Edward. Of course you may borrow our copy, assuming it is promptly returned to the shop when you're done with your work. What, if I may be so bold, exactly are you summoning, Mr. Kyou?"
