Dismember hail from Stockholm, Sweden and were founded in 1988. One of the leading names in the Swedish death scene, they're comparable to other major Swedeath groups such as Entombed, Grave, and Unleashed. Surprisingly, they're still together and consistently put out an album every 2-3 years.

The debut and followup, Like an Ever Flowing Stream and Indecent and Obscene are required listening for anyone remotely interested in Swedish death metal. The rest of the catalog is consistently quality material, but isn't essential.
