Version: G1Name: Orbit

Optimus Prime knew the value of having eyes in the sky besides Cosmos.. Cosmos was dependable, but he had a tendency to let his boredom get to him, and would often fly down to Earth to buzz the locals.
Optimus can't blame him though. Space is boring, of this there is no question. But when the Humans planned to create the International Space Station, Optimus had an idea. After the first configuration of the Space station was noted as "complete", Optimus called for Orbit.
Orbit then took the place of the initial space station, integrating himself into it's systems, and making the station his body, basically. Once the humans started arriving in ernest, Orbit wasn't sure what to do... his job had always been a silent guardian and observer of life from afar. He had never had to deal with anyone up close for a long period of time. He kept silent, though, as the humans moved about his innards, living, experimenting, studying the space around them as much as they could..
In this regard, Orbit started to reevaluate his opinion of these creatures, which suffice it to say, wasn't very high.. He had seen their capability for war, and didn't have the same faith that Optimus did in their possibilities as allies... but in time this began to change, as he started to see their pioneering and inquisitive side.
As time went on, parts were added to Orbit, still under the guise of the international space station. These parts, being part of Orbit's body, were incorporated into his net, and as time went on, he modified them to be a possible robot form... though that posed a problem in itself....
The humans were fragile, and depended upon a pressurized environment, as well as Oxygen, to survive... This concerned Orbit, because if he were called to battle, the transformation sequence would expose several sections where humans stayed to the harsh vacuum. So Orbit did reveal himself to one human, a young flight engineer named Nicole Stott... With the aid of this one human, Orbit concocted an evacuation plan...
If the need ever called for him to assume his robot form, Orbit would activate the emergency evacuation protocol in the stations computer, which he left largely to the humans. This would prompt them all to one pod... one which Orbit had rigged to transform to an escape ship, one that would take them away from any battle he would be involved in...
Orbit has become worried lately that his weaponry would prompt a conflict on the planet below, but the alternative is allowing the Decepticons to come and go as they please... a pro that outweighs the con, in his eyes.
Sorry for the TL
biggrin R, but someone as big as Orbit requires a bit more of a story, lol.
