Step. Step. Step. Step. Jump over the log. Avoid the... snake?
Rogue wasn't sure exactly when she had left Traverse Town, but seeing as it had been her idea in the first place she was just glad it had worked. She was running through a jungle, it used to be a forest -- well, it had started out as a forest. The one behind the castle. She had had a hunch since she was a child that it was magical. Minerva had told her that there was nothing special about it, but she also didn't bother to tell anyone that she was leaving.
<flashback>
"Minerva's gone!"
"Of course she's gone -- when does she ever spend her afternoons inside?"
"I didn't say that she's not here, I said that she's gone.
"What are you fools yelling about now?" Crimson eyes peered out from behind two-tones hair. He took a bite of his apple in his hand and raised a bow in waiting for an answer.
"Rogue's left, Albel, and we don't know where. Just up'n vanished." Rogue threw her hands up for extra emphasise, but was met by a snort.
"You're all idiots. She clearly went after the fairy boy. What, did you all think she was moping these past few months?" He scoffed. "Hardly. She's been thinking, planning. And now that she's found him, she's doing." Albel paused a beat. "Good for her, too. If I had anything to chase after, I'd be long gone by now."
<end flashback>
And if she had anything, it was something to chase after. Serge, first off, had been gone for two months. Training with his family in the woods;; like usual.
Then Minerva had disappeared to tackle some big evil-thing, by herself, to save her boyfriend.
She was not going to sit by and let the chance go by that the two people she cherished most in the world could die while she did nothing.
And so she ran. As the trees changed shape and the air got more humid, she hardly gave notice to the new clothes she donned.
Beige cargo shorts and a 3/4-sleeved green shirt. The same brown bag stayed on her back, though. Minerva's enchanted bag. It could hold way more than it should. Rogue had even seen the witch go up to her shoulders when finding something once. Downright creepy it was.
Her steps slowed as she reached the ledge of the ground. She rested her hands on her knees and grinned. It had been a long time since she had gone for a good run, and she could feel her heartbeat in her ears.
Once she had caught her breath she looked down the cliff to find a lake, then the path continued. How typical.
Off to the side she noticed a long vine wrapped around a bush in a very specific way. The vine came from way up top the treetops. Almost as if it was there for travel...
A wicked grin appeared on Rogue's face as she grabbed the vine to test its' strength. She gripped it tight and ran towards the edge. Fighting against the urge to close her eyes during the three-second freefall, she was soon soaring through the air over the lake. Her open open in a hearty laugh.
Her fun was short-lived, however, as she came to the end of the line and slid down the vine until she came to another freefall. A quick cry of surprise echoed around her before she dropped her arms as to dive instead of landing belly-down.
It was over as quick as it had begun, and Rogue opened her eyes underwater to see bubbles exploding all around her. She began kicking and upon reaching the surface, laughed some more. She then starting swimming for shore.

What seemed like a few moments ago, he had been sitting in his bedroom throwing a tennis ball on the wall above his pet spider Jae. Then he was laying in a small crevice created by three large tree branches! His nose caught the deep earthy scent around him, and his ears heard the many noises of the rainforest. Yawning somewhat, he sat up, placing his hand on his side, before wincing. He poked at different places on his chest and back, wincing a good eighty five percent of the time.
Standing up, he pulled his shirt off, curiously realizing it was a rather heavy yellow shirt that was ripped in some places, like one old explorers would wear. Dropping it and pulling off his undershirt, he stared at the blossoming purple and green colored bruises, some shaped like small fists but others large, like something bigger then a man's arm had smashed into him. Thin red lines showed up on his also bruised arms, cuts. Looking up, he could see the broken tree branches he had hit.
"Ow." Duck-Young muttered, putting his undershirt back on. He reached into his pant's pocket, finding his trusty knife in it, which somewhat assured him even though he wasn't yet confused on where he was. Walking down the branch, he jumped onto another, which wobbled a little when he landed in the heavy boots.
Continuing this trend, he was eventually able to climb down to the jungle floor. Ignoring what he was certain was a gorilla skull, he cocked his head to the side, trying to hear for anything familiar.
..A waterfall?
Blinking his large brown eyes, Duck-Young followed this noise, moving quickly over the messy path before him, brushing branches away and barely missing the various roots which stood up. The sun greeted him finally as he broke through the trees. Duck-Young then came to the frightening realization; there was no more ground to run on, and he was quickly plummeting. Through some amount of luck, Duck-Young managed to splash into the water feet first.
The water enclosed over his head, and he swam upwards, sputtering and blinking once he broke the surface, sucking in the air into the empty lungs. Noticing a girl nearby, Duck-Young swam towards her. "Hey! Hey! Uhm, excuse me?" He called, just beginning to realize he was in a completely unfamiliar place.

Rogue had just stepped out of the water and was in the process of ringing out the bottom half of her shirt when a voice called out from where she just came.
A boy around her age, she guessed, was swimming her way. How odd -- there was nobody behind her before.... No matter. "Hey there, stranger." She called out. Her voiced touched by a light southern drawl.
She sat down on a large rock among the sand and opened the flap of the now-completely dry bag, and began searching. She found a hair tie and pulled up her brown hair into a high ponytail, the white bangs falling loose and framing her face. Next she tried looking for a towel, but to no avail. Neither her or Minerva had found it necessary to pack.
What a bother. She would just have to dry the natural way.
"Ah'm Rogue," She spoke again as she set the bag on the ground and looked up at him. "Who're you?"

Watching the girl emerge from the water, Duck-Young went under again for a moment, before climbing onto dry land himself. She had a very light Southern accent, and the white bangs which framed her face gave her a sort of tough but beautiful look.
"H-hello Rogue." He said, shaking his own hair to get some water out, it wasn't yet long enough to squeeze the water out yet. "I'm Duck-Young Park. Do you know... where we are?" He asked, looking around, taking in the massive landscape before him. "Because I fell asleep again I guess and ended up here and OH MY GOD A LIZARD!" He shouted, running over a few steps past Rogue to pick up a small stone colored lizard by the tail. He turned around to look at her, cupping the lizard in his palm. "Oh, uhm, sorry." He just met the girl and already he looked like a complete loon! Duck-Young sighed, already embarrased.

"Pleasure to meet you, D-" Rogue had begun to talk, but halted as Duck-Young rushed past her to pick up a lizard.
"Oh no, it's quite alright. You should see me when I see a cute puppy!" She grinned and waved away his apology.
"As to where we are, that would be a jungle, and as to how we got here..." As she trailed off she tilted her head to the side slightly. "You don't happen to be from Traverse Town?"
If so, then that would make explaining things much more simple. If not... then it just might get a bit complicated.
