After a long and unsuccessful day, the hunting party (plus one) returns to the comfort of the cove. The sun begins to sink below the horizon casting brilliant hues across the clouds, and the lonely mother moon peeks out from behind the cliffs above the waterfall. In the twilight, one might not immediately realize there is a new elf quietly accompanying the returning hunters.

Llune is at the water's edge, leaning over the pool and washing and filling the stone pitcher Autumn shaped for her. Her absurdly long hair is unbraided and has slipped forward from her shoulders and back so that it rests on the surface of the water, drifting a gently with the current. The hunting party is able to see her silhouetted profile as they approach the pool, but she fails to notice them. As a soft breeze disturbs the leaves on the trees, Llune glances up at them momentarily before returning her attention to her task.

Kember follows the rest of the hunting group back, lagging a bit behind as he's still very much a stranger to everyone at this point. Will this new group accept him? He doesn't notice the tall elfess by the pool as he is too wrapped up in his own nervous thoughts.

Upset by the unsuccessful hunt, Savith was silent as he led the group back to their homes, flying above them just out of casual speaking range. As they drew near, and Llune came into sight, he dropped to the ground by Kember's side.

**Mother,** his mind reached out openly in Llune's direction. The single word, a title of sorts, carried with it an open ended expectancy and the flavor of a question. Aloud, in a soft murmur, he said to Kember, "Let's get you settled in, then, Cousin."

Autumns joy

PostPosted: Sat Aug 29, 2009 9:44 am

Autumn walks in looking rather gruff. No meat made her a little grumpy. Even a bit more so then normal. Still a new elf had been brought back and that was a good thing... Walking right over to him she whacked him a bit hard on the back and with a smile sent to his mind. The send also holding the feeling of joy in finding yet another and adding to the group. *Welcome Kember. It is good to find another kind of meat I guess.* Her send holding light hearted humor.

Dewpaw was sorely disappointed at not grabbing any meat, but she figured the new elf would provide much entertainment. And that easily overtook her disappointment, her excitement in general easily beat out her disappointment. She found herself bouncing around the small group, taking time to stop be each elf, but not being able to stay still long enough to talk to them. Instead, she took the trees, climbing from branch to branch and staying even with the group as they moved through the woods. *That wasn't so bad. No one is hurt. Thats a good thing* her send was open for everyone, carrying with it her happy-go-lucky attitude.

Morningtail walked with the group, keeping some distance from the larger tiger, and deciding to investigate the scent of the new elf. The wolf liked his scent almost as much as he liked that of Dewpaw and Leaffoot.

Creek Runner

Creek walked in silence, like it seemed much of the group did. He glanced back at the new elf, but decided to say nothing for now. Next to this new elf, he was the newest, well him and Autumn. And the Wave dancers. He wasn't sure when everyone met them. He wasn't sure when anyone else had arrived.

Dew's send brought him out of his thoughts and he looked up into the trees, having learned that Dew could almost always be found there. *A very good thing, little foal. Do you ever walk on the ground?* He sent in return, open for others, but directed at the young elfess.

Dew smiled, landing on a branch just above Creek and hanging down for a second before pulling herself back up. *I walk on the ground a lot, but it isn't as much fun as the trees. The ground is boring when walking. The trees are fun.* she sent with a decisive nod and a tone that said it made perfect sense to her and should to everyone else. She paused in the tree for a second, her head tilted to the side, before she caught up with Creek once more, *Whats a foal? I haven't been called that before.*

Llune
Crew

PostPosted: Fri Sep 18, 2009 10:33 pm

At Savith's send Llune finally notices the group's approach. Leaning back and setting the stone pitcher to the side, she stands quickly yet gracefully, slinging the wet tips of her hair behind her, "*Welcome home,*" she both speaks and sends openly and warmly, then notices the new elf, "*all of you.*" She walks - or does she float? It's hard to tell - toward the cluster of empty-handed elves with a relieved smile, "My eyes see with joy!" she exclaims when she reaches them, placing her hand on Savith's shoulder affectionately for but a moment. Then she turns to Kember, "And welcome, welcome to our group my friend! What is your name?" then adds cheerfully, "Oh! And do you like fish soup?"
PostPosted: Sun Sep 20, 2009 10:51 pm

The disappointment of the group is heavy in te air, at least to Kember, and encourages his pensive state. What seems to be frustration still underlying their communicaton, Autumn and Savith welcome him to the camp, but before he can speak the long-haired elfess greets the group and her kind sending melts Kember's hesitation into a memory.

"I am Kember, Tall-One," he glances around at the rest of the group, momentarily embarassed at all the attention he's receiving, but recovers just as momentariy. "And I'd likely like fish soup just fine." He smiles kindly, searching with his nose for the soup. A real meal would be fan-TAS-tic - it's been weeks!

Creek Runner

PostPosted: Fri Sep 25, 2009 10:30 pm

Creek smiled up at the excited elf above him. He couldn't help but chuckle at her energy. *A foal is a young horse. A no-hump. Or should I just call you cub?* Creek sent, realizing that he never asked the young one what she prefered to be called. He had heard her called a few things, so he had never really given it much thought.

He watched as Llune and the new elf greeted and the new elf was quickly accepted. Another new tribesmate to tie him to this place. And suddenly, Peyote was the only thing on his mind.

((I know Creek previouslt refered to horses as no-humps. But i was thinking, that as a PLainsrunner, he would most likely be more familiar with horses and no horses before he knew zwoots. Hence, horses would not be refered to as not having a hump, but rather as antoer name. And I couldn't come up with one, so I used horse. And then no-hump again, to clearify for Dewpaw, IC, and because he would know the term used by other tribes, haivng moved around a lot and heard stories. If anyone doesn't like the use of "horse" let me know, and I'll refrain from it, if you have a good reason, or one of the bosses say so.))

((Creek, sounds good to me! smile Wasn't bothered by it at all. Anyone else?))

Savith's lips twitched upwards slightly as Llune rested her hand on his shoulder, hinting at a near smile. He lifted away a bit as Llune moved toward Kember, watching the proceedings between the two while keeping half a mind on the conversation between Dewpaw and Creekrunner.

He floated up slightly, eyes starting to turn away from the group, almost as if the physical movement mimicked the wandering of his thoughts.

EQ Peyote

PostPosted: Tue Oct 27, 2009 4:33 pm

Moving to the pool, with a jug on her head and a flat woven basket on her hip, is Peyote. Seeing the gathered group, the dark-skinned elfess beams brightly and calls over, "Sun be thanked, the hunters are back! Water, anyone?"

Llune smiles and leads the group to the sitting logs, then begins ladling out steaming soup and passing the stone bowls around to each member of the ever-growing group. As she portions out the meal, she say brightly, "So tell us of the exciting hunt, dear hunters!" Llune is well aware that it was unsuccessful food-wise, but a story is a story all the same. She sneaks a friendly wink at the newcomer, "And do tell us of how you sought meat and returned instead with elf!"

Leave it to Llune to have a hot meal ready and waiting. Her question returned Savith's eyes, and thoughts, to the gathering group. Arms folding over his chest, he reclined, hanging in midair near a low hanging branch. He was faintly curious about the newcomer, and how the cubling, Dewpaw, might bubbling tell of tale, of how they scouted the herd, moved into position, of how the new elf was spotted and scooped off the back of the herd. ANd what of the stampede? What would have been made of that?
