Solace had been checking on some roses in her mother's garden when Mickey arrived and heard the knock. She peaked around the corner and grinned as Mara answered the door.
Having pretty much named herself Tyg's guardian the kitsune spirit Mara was the one to answer the door.
She was clearly expecting someone else and paused midscold when she was greeted by the black garbed Mickey. "Oh hi there Mickey. Looking for Solace? She should be around nearby."
"I'm here," Solace announced leaning against the corner. She grinned at the mouse-eared spirit.
"Ok good. Well you two have fun," Mara waved and closed the door muttering something about red-headed fools.
Solace laughed. "Don't mind her she's been distracted with a private project. So you mentioned a picnic? Would you like me get anything before we leave here?"

Mickey: *Staring confusedly at the door* Ummm...* Turning his attention to Solace and grinning wildly* Just a big smile and an even bigger appetite! But there is one thing I think you misunderstood. When I said on the lake, I literally meant on the lake! *he laughed happily* Poseidon said he wanted to train his son, so I thought, " Hey, why don't I get Triton to build an island....of water?" I asked, he did it, quite well actually, and Poseidon was happy, so it's a win win situation!

Mickey: * Smiling, glad that Solace is on board.* Well, the place Triton set up is kind of hard to explain, so why don't we just head on down to the lake? We can talk on the way and learn more about one another, by the time we get there, we'll probably know everything about one another, especially since it's such a long walk! * Laughing, he begins to squeak.* Oh dear! Can't....Stop! Hur....Hurry.... Slap me-hee-heee!!!!!

Talking was definately a good idea. She wanted to get to know this other spirit. Solace holding back giggles, grabbed Mickey by the shoulders and gave him a good shake, not able to bring herself to acctually slap him. "Come on now snap out of it! We have a date no squeaking laughing fits..."

Solace took a deep breath glad to see Mickey calming. "Of course let's go," she replied. "A public icon, really? I didn't know that. When it comes down to it I dont' really know much about any other spirits. Being second generation is different, we don't have those past memories just what we are now."
Though we do have the pasts of our parents to deal with, she thought to herself with a sigh.

"Well, you probably won't know much about a lot of the spirits here, because most of them either have a hard time with their past, or they just don't remember it. I only had one regret in my life and that's why I am fine with my past. I came to terms with it a while ago. Now if by past you mean what went on in isira before you came around well that's a horde of a different color, but let's move on to some lighter topics now shall we?" He chuckled nervously, afraid of how Solace will react...

Solace gave a wry grin. "I do know a bit about things as my ... parents ... were somewhat involved in the Garden being what it is now..." she admited but she was more than happy with the idea of turning to lighter topics. "That certainly sounds like a good idea. I can get quite moody when I'm thoughtful. I'd hate to have to inflict that on you on such a lovely day."

"So," looking at her eyes that aren't on her face, " do you see out of all your eyes at once? Or do you switch in between, or can you even see out of the ones that aren't on your face?" His face started to turn red as he realized how embarrassing of a question that was.

She wasn't embarassed or offended at all by the question, she still had questions about them herself. One day she would have to have that little chat with Wraith. "Well there's just the extra pair on my shoulders, nowhere near Wraith. Mostly they act like extra peripheral vision that I can then focus if something catches my attention."

Mickey's face returned to it's normal, peachy shade when Solace answered his question without any embarrassment or anger, "That's....That's....AWESOME!" After he realized how much he had just gone crazy, he returned to his trying-to-be-cool attitude. "Sorry, that was a little bit much......But now I can only wonder....Woah! We're here already? Can you see where we're going? Can you see the island? " He grew more squeaky by the second as they approched the lake. The crystal island was at the center of the lake, looking almost like half a bubble sitting on the lake. "It's an island of water....except minus the wet! So....What do you think?"

Solace found herself smiling and laughing a lot in Mickey's company. Though she knew as a spirit he was older than her mother, there was such youthful enthusiasm to him at times.
She was about to tell him there was no need to apologize when he kept going. Ahh the lake ... But what was he about to say he was wondering? Perhaps we'll get back to it later. she thought to herself as she looked trying to spot the island. It took a moment.
"Ahh I see it now. That's amazing. Since Triton put it together for us we'll definately have to try it out." Seeing it there reasured her ... the day was certainly going a bit differently than she had expected and so far it was all to the good.

"Triton has also prepared some transportation for us!" Mickey said happily as he pulled Solace down to the water front. A row boat was sitting on the beach, but, there were no oars. "Hmmm....."Mickey said confusedly, "I wonder why there aren't any oars......Maybe you should just get in and I'll push it into the water?" He smiled deviously as if something was going on.
