ARGH! *headdesk headdesk headdesk* ... *head remains on desk, teeth grind* That layer is moving too fast, that layer is moving too slow, that layer needs more tweens, and that layer isn't ******** moving at all! And that layer there, the one that's supposed to stay still, it's stays are wiggling! *deletes layer* Take that! *realizes there's also smoke in this ********, that's going to have to move, too. The whole bloody thing needs more tweens! Dammit!
But I love my work. I hope to animate professionally one day. Wait! This is a commission! All "professional" means is that I get paid. I am in fact, getting paid for animating.
Does it count, in gaia gold..?

Fire. How do I loathe thee. Let me count the ways. *headdesk headdesk headdesk* And just think, you want to do a whole animated short based around a pyrokinetic. You must hate yourself.

I hate animating fire with a passion. 3DS Max's fire will stop working if you leave it alone long enough. gonk

I'm just doing gif animation in photoshop. I need to paint the frames by hand. It's much like traditional animation in that way.
Also, one must ask one's self how much realism they expect out of a nine-frame gif.
