Moghedein had been away for a few days now and she longed to simply return to her den and rest and then to think over the information she had collected presenting it in a clear format to her alpha but another part of her told her to go and seek him out now, wondering if Liriel or any of the others had returned with any source of information, perhaps she should talk to a few of the other members of the pack, listen to what they had found out and then talk to him.
She looked to the sky, it was late afternoon and she was closing in on the packs territory. She decided as much as she wanted to rest and think things over, gathering any other information to influence her projection of her own information she knew it would not do. He'd want to know as soon as possible and form his own opinions, that was his right. She compiled her thoughts as best as she could and prepared herself.
Waltzing gracefully in and out of the shadows she made her way to the main den area, where the alpha usually resided. Slowly she made her way up the rocky pathway to stand at the entrance of his den, her icy orbs pierced the darkness and waited to be addressed.

Chernabog normally wouldn't move to greet anyone, but he held a special place in his hard heart for his silver lady. His pleasure with her was only equally tempered by his current anger at the situation Liriel had found herself in. He didn't relish the idea of his violent violet beauty being dragged down by pups but with luck her children would prove as useful and cunning as their mother. Only time would tell, and only time would show him if Liriel was weakened by her status as a mother.
He moved out of his obsidian den and grinned hi eyes flashing his pleasure as he moved to Mog. "My lady, your presence has been missed...tell me what news has kept you from gracing the court." He circled her once his tail brushing her spine and sat in front of her slowly. Normally Chernabog stood above others as he spoke, that he should come out to greet her and then sit with her for news spoke much of his current mood.
The only gem that shone as highly in his esteem was his beta, she had proven herself to be adept at molding younger members into useful warriors. Yes, two brilliant minds always stayed in his thoughts now, the third had been cast down by her new delicate condition. Chernabog inhaled his nose twitching under it's metallic casing as he frowned slightly at the strange scent of another alpha male around Moghedein. What was this then?

Moghedien stood silently as the large alpha male came out from the darkness and circled her, caressing her with his tail before sitting with ease in front of her. Her eyes wanted to widen in surprise but she held them carefully. He had missed her then, it was not just a greeting, he meant it. Her eyes searched his and she noted the twitching of his nostrils and she noted the curiosity dance in his eyes.
She remained standing, not wanting to presume to much and answered him, her voice soft, caressing and not as frosty as it was with other wolves. 'You honour me.' she commented in response to his comment about gracing the court to the rest she continued, 'I travelled to Tomkin's territory in search of the run away as you commanded. I did not find her but I did come across the pack's alpha.'
She paused her eyes searching before continuing, 'He informed me that a wolf had passed through his territory a few days ago though he assured me they had travelled on through, leaving the area. I asked that he show me the route he believed they took, it led to a river which acts as a boundary mark to the territory.' She paused before adding, 'If you will allow to comment on this, I believe this needs to be followed up by someone else within the pack, my strengths do no lie in tracking and hunting. I have my suspicions.' She left it at that for now, if he wanted to know her opinions, he'd ask her but she believed it was not her place to simply add them.
She allowed a moment for her alpha to digest this before finishing off her report. 'I also took the liberty to ask after a tribute. He declined and said he would not support something he did not believe in, though he was willing to strike a deal with you. He will offer his packs services as assassins if he was promised that no harm would come to his pack, now and always.' Her eyes narrowed at this and she tried to gauge his reaction.
Everything was now laid out for her alpha in a very matter of fact manner. Her opinions, views and advice would only follow upon request. She felt proud of what she had gathered and hoped she would be rewarded accordingly.

Chernabog listened with open curiosity and interest, the report was pleasing to an extent...until the word declined reached his ears. His eyes narrowed dangerously, fangs exposed behind another metallic row. This then was the first pack to refuse the court their due? His lips slowly lowered however and he chuckled and relaxed.
"You are clever to be suspicious my lady, it is clear to me these so called assassins are simply a thrown together bunch. Clever, but weak enough for us to completely destroy, we could make a lesson of them, but I have no desire to do so...for now let the Jewels of the Meadow stand as an example. Those precious gems are scattered throughout the land and their alpha defiled, she will never regather them, and her name and pack will be gone with the wind and time."
He smirked softly quite pleased with himself. Kalama was furious, but she was no threat. Neither was this alpha, he was afraid of what the court could do to his little band...and with good reason.
"What is his name? This bold ruler who would dare to decline the court their due? And worse...he dares to bargain with us, as if we could be assuaged with the promise of his services? Assassins...assassins...how insulting, we have no need for assassins for when we wish to kill, we do so proudly and openly. The court may execute those who dare to oppose us, and we have never harmed, nor shall we ever harm those who show adequate respect."

((Due to the fact the RP between Mog and Aguta isn't finished he hasn't yet given his name but I believe he'll give his name as Wraith, his 'code' name. If this isn't so I will edit the post accordingly later.))
A slight smile came to Moghedien's eyes, like the sun light sparkling upon newly fallen snow. She knew this was how the alpha was going to react, she had even cautioned the other alpha of this. So if her alpha wasn't going to accept this, further negotiations were going to have to be undertaken.
'He gave his name as Wraith. Perhaps then, I would suggest, that you send myself and another back. My aim to be to see if he will break and offer tribute, as I cannot see where this 'deal' of his various from a tribute. He provides us with something and we leave his pack in relative peace, is that not a tribute?' She hoped that pointing this out would calm her alpha to reason, rather than to become hot headed with the idea of a tribute being refused.
'The other wolf's role then to follow the river Wraith had led me to and track the possible escape routes. If she, this wolf, did in fact leave Tomkin's pack lands.' This was where Moghedien's suspicions lay.
'If I may also add, the offer of his packs services may be some what insulting. My concern is that other packs may go to his pack and ask for their services against ours. We will then have to investigate every transaction Tomkin has with other packs, for otherwise we will not know which packs are truly subservient to ours. This will become time consuming and perhaps not always possible.'

Chernabog growled and frowned, what did she mean he gave his name as? "Is Wraith then not his true name Moghedien? You suspect him of hiding his identity as well do you not? Serious suspicions my ice queen, you seem to truly distrust this male. Perhaps it is not a lord or lady I should send now...perhaps MY presence is needed." His eyes were narrowed now fiercely lit with the desire to destroy.
"If he dares to hold a slave safe within his land, dares to refuse to give tribute, and gives my lady a false identity." Still he heard her words, yes if this one dared to defy them then the others might seek his aid. Of course...if they cut the head off this beast now it would never grow into a true threat.
"I dislike the idea of finding a peaceable solution with a two faced pack, mercenaries are whores, they lend themselves to those willing to pay them the best. We will NOT pay THEM tribute, they will bend or be destroyed...it is true though, that they will be offered our kindness, we will not be cruel without need."

Mogheiden listened to her alpha's heated words and before replying she tried to calm him, to capture his attention on her herself and calm him on the matter regarding Tomkin's refusal of a tribute. She took one or two paces towards him and rubbed her nose upon the metal gleaming fangs of his skull helmet and then brushed her shoulder upon his, circling about him to come to sit now more relaxed in front of him. She hoped this sign of affection would please him and perhaps for a moment remind him everything wasn't as bad as it seemed.
Conversationally she addressed him, 'I do not trust Wraith, no, as you say mercenaries are whores. But I do not trust him as I would not trust myself, he is clever and has a quick mind, not unlike my own. Something tells me that this issue needs looking into further. Perhaps it is not yet at the stage where it requires your attentions my Alpha. Perhaps this is the best time to show our merciful side and demonstrate to Tomkin and to all other packs that while we are strong we are also not hot head nor foolish.'
Moghedien wanted so much to gain the admiration of her alpha. She had heard rumours of Liriel and her litter of pups, she wondered then how loyal her affections were to the alpha. Also of the Beta, who she had still to met and had seem little of, considering she was meant to be the one governing the Lords and Ladies of the pack. Moghedien on the other hand had brought in Liriel, perhaps who still may prove useful to the pack, Haemon who would not doubt be a great commodity and now she brought valuable information to the alpha. He could not dismiss the fact that she was one of the most hard working and devote members of the pack.
Her thoughts then drifted to other thoughts and ideas, why was she so fixed on proving herself to this male? She had loved once and it had destroyed her and she had promised herself she would not love again, not in that manner anyway. No, she concluded she simply wanted to gain approval of this male to gain power and position, she did not know him, not really know him, not to do this out of love or admiration.

He smirked softly and relaxed slowly as he felt her brush against him, he could tell she was trying to calm him...it was working. He held back a chuckle and decided it wasn't so bad sometimes letting Mog have her way. He focused on her words and tilted his head with a soft grin.
"Should I trust YOU my fair silver tongue?" He knew he didn't trust this distant alpha who dared to try and haggle with the Reign. Yet, Mog....did he trust her? No, no, he wanted to of course, but always there was the intelligent monster lurking within that took her words with a grain of salt. Strangely he found himself mildly jealous that she had spent time away from the court in the presence of another male. The sensation was new to him, and he disliked it.
Finally he nodded and flicked his tail slowly. "Hmmm, perhaps you are right, but you will not return then, another must go, a fresh perspective. Static is a brilliant warrior, she has helped to train our dear Rumor. Rumor is old enough now to start taking responsibilities. That girl is born of greatness and destined to further greatness...she will go on my behalf."

Icy blue eyes never once left those red orbs and at his questioning of her loyalties her eyes soften, allowing another rare glimpse at the soft underlay to the usually ice cool female, a shadow of her former self still residing in the depths of her heart. That was answer enough, she trusted the male, her alpha to see this side of her and thus she would in turn allow herself to be trustworthy of him. Of course she'd flicker her tongue about in the same manner as she did with anyone, but if asked she'd speak frankly, for him, for her alpha.
At hearing the praise of another wolf in the pack and a female, a pang of jealousy mixed with sorrow shot through her. She wondered if he spoke about her in such a manner to other wolves? What did it matter? She'd still conquer them, she knew her abilities. A master of her emotions she let none of this show in her expressions nor her voice as she acknowledged him, 'As you wish my lord and what do you wish of me, may I ask?'

Chernabog had to struggle not to smile at Mog, damn but she was ever appealing, ever clever, he needed to get his mind off of her before she pulled him deeper into her lovely web. Her voice cleared his mind and he moved closer to breath softly against her neck.
"I don't like the idea of sending you off again so soon, I think you should stay in the pack and relax a while..." His voice was deeply laced with the suggestions of just how she could relax, they could relax.
Slowly he pulled away and chuckled before shaking his head and glancing away. "Hmmm...I think you should also use the time to meet with Liriel's whelps, see if you can spot the potential in them, I see fire in some...and in others...well I'll let you advise on what you see."

Moghedien sat still as the male advanced on her. Suggestive words whispered into her ear and his warm breath caressed her neck. She closed her eyes and soaked up the senses, long enough for him to notice as he pulled away the rare outward expression of her desires. She opened her eyes and a lusty fire flickered there, she blinked at it was gone, covered with a mask of ice.
Mog may of came from a prestigious background, once an alpha herself, holding more power than the alpha male. But she was still a wolf and natural instincts were something that could never truly be controlled, she was a young, ripe female and ready for her first litter. She did not think her weakness, showing a slight display of her emotions, would do her any harm at this moment, in fact it may even help.
Mog worked with a system, she would give a little, which would fuel the imagination and left the alpha wanting more but didn't give too much that he'd have his fill, not yet. She enjoyed this game, slowly drawing him in, as with any prey of hers.
The moment passed and he issued her next assignment and her heart sank. So she was to scout among Liriel's offspring. That was the work of a pupsitter, encouraging and caring for the young. But it interested her as well, wondering what Liriel could produce, if it had any worth. She accepted, 'I will look into it for you my lord.'
She noted the way he had said 'also'; so the offer of relaxing with him wasn't just a flirtatious comment, he desired a bit more of her time. She allowed him a rare inviting smile and in softer tones she suggested, 'Perhaps, before I return to my den, we may relax. A little game perhaps, I ask you a question and you give me an honest answer and in return you may ask something of me.' She wanted to know her alpha a little closer, he spoke little of himself, always intrigued by his pack members and giving little of himself in return. She wondered if he'd play her game and in the way she enjoyed, taking little bits of each other, be it questions or physical attentions, not asking for the bigger things first off.
She sat daintily in front of him, near half his size and weight. The ice in her eyes still present and masking all emotions but there was a hungry shine to them and she twitched her tail to get his attention and brushed it across the rock floor of the den in an alluring manner, hopefully the gesture and it's meaning did not escape him as she waited for a response to her request.

The large male slowly smirked at the spark in the eyes of his icy lady, at least she wasn't completely immune to him. Instead they drew one another close while keeping at a safe distance, how amazing would it be if they should finally collide fire and ice. It could be something amazing but dangerous he reminded himself, after all he appreciated Mog for her cunning but wasn't fool enough to think she wouldn't or couldn't use that same charm on him.
He nodded softly pleased with her acceptance of the task, if anyone would manage to see what tweaked him about Liriel's daughter it would be Mog. He peered at her curiously and smirked softly at her suggestion for relaxation.
Normally he would have scoffed at the idea of such a game and told whoever it was to keep their nose where it belonged or loose it. Yet the chance to discover more about Mog made him curious, of course she too would no doubt ask revealing questions. "I should think in such a game you would be a most dangerous opponent my lady, but very well we shall play, with the stipulation that both of us may decline to answer one of the questions if we so wish."

She stared at him for a moment and a flicker of a smile played upon her lips before she replied, 'Okay, I will agree to that.' There was little Moghedien would not part with, with her alpha in exchange for an answer from him, but then she didn't know as to what he'd ask. So the safety of declining one question, or request was perhaps a good idea.
Firstly she'd ask him quicker questions and in time she would get a better idea of where to go with it, so to start, 'Where are you from, in the sense that, who are your parents and were you born into a pack?'

Her mind was so quick and curious naturally she of all would wonder about his origins. He settled back relaxed thought his posture as eve indicated he could have handled a surprise attack.
"I remember little of my puphood, my mother had a dark coat and smelled of rich warm blood...it's my earliest memory. I was raised by two leggers covered in shining fur they called 'armadura'. It made them strong, and they made me strong, I've fought since I was barely weaned, and for a long time I could only remember pain. The pain helps you learn though, makes your stronger in it's own way. I had the drive to survive against every obstacle, especially the ones they thought I wouldn't. If I killed a bear they fed me twice as much, and if I killed one of them they reveled in my strength, until all the but the bravest feared me. I was feared by the mighty two leggers...that was when I knew I had to return among my own kind, I was already their king, and it was my turn to rule here."
His voice was firm convinced, it was hard not to be convinced of his own glory with the shining perfect ruby sphere against his chest and the metal and bone forged mask forever embedded against his skull. He was the alpha of the Reign of Terror and he had no doubts in his specially chosen pack members, they deserved all the glory that they could grasp.
"And you my clever silver tongue? Are your origins humble or more grand?" He tilted his head slightly genuine curiosity shining in his eyes.

Moghedien listened to his tale carefully and picked out the key parts to the story, but most importantly she had already formed her next question. Unsurprisingly the male returned her question and she pondered about how she was to answer it. He had gifted her with a long answer and covered most of his time until the present day and it contented her, but she was a master at this game and she did not wish to give too much away, not at first, she wanted to make him work.
'It depends how you choose to look at it I suppose. I was for a time the alpha female of my previous pack and the one who had the most say in the partnership with the male alpha as it was my blood line that had lead me to being heir.' She paused for a moment, content that she had answered his question but their was two other points she would now add, for she was going to be kind to him in this game and she'd give him a choice as to which direction he wished to take his line of inquiry.
'Though my sister was bitter and plotted with those loyal to her. I also, foolishly, fell in love with a male that I had known for some years, we had grown up together. Though he was not favoured by the pack and not long after taking him as my mate I had to give him up to content the pack, for us rulers do not always have the freedom we think we do.' She looked at him then, deeply and meaningfully in the eye. She was allowing him to see bits of herself, like tip bits as treats and she wondered whether he enjoyed it.
So he now had a choice to question her blood line or matters of her heart. The last option she'd give him was duelled, her downfall and why she did not listen to her faithful friend. 'My former mate then rebelled with my sister, killing the second mate I had taken and banished me from the pack. I had let my heart rule my head and I had not listened to the solid advise of my dear and loyal friend Damon.'
She had given him more information than she would of ever given away in this game played with any other, but it was necessary. Not only was she trying to get information from him, she was also trying to bridge the gap between them, solidifying their relationship. She looked him straight in the eye, showing a little of her former self within them, the ruler who had given up her love for her pack only to have it all thrown back at her. The ice came back to her eyes and she hid the part of herself from him, she was not his, not yet.
Now it was her turn. 'You say you had to return to live amongst the wolves as you'd conquered the humans. Tell me, what will you do once you've conquered your own kind?' She looked at him, she gave nothing away now, her emotions turned back to ice. Though their was many meanings in her words.
