Sounds like GOD was unhappy with the people backsliding and they were about to be hit with a storm (in action). The storms of life will get our attention. Sometimes GOD allows storms to correct our wrong thinking or at least make us think. Storms will eventually lead us in the right direction; towards good weather (something better).

I lqtm. Without that crucial comma, it would be: Figs that cannot be eaten [because] they are so disgusting.
(Technically, that sentence should be written with a semicolon. "They are so disgusting" is an independent clause. GRAMMAR NAZI apologizes.)
Trouble with the language the Old Testament is written in is that it's so vague.... I can't remember where I read it, but somewhere I heard that the first sentence of Genesis, for example, could be translated different ways depending on the context.

NO. That term is unacceptable. How dare you?? Using 'Nazi' in such a frivolous manner is not to be tolerated.

New joke: ------------ Ahmadinejad: Sorry to call you up so late at night, but I've just has a wonderful dream! In it I could look out and see all of your United States of America, and on ever single house was the same, identical banner. It read, 'United States of Islam.'
Obama: Why, I myself just had an interesting dream.
Ahmadinejad: Oh, really? What was it about?
Obama: I could look out and see all of Iran, and on every single house was the same, identical banner.
Ahmadinejad: What did it say?
Obama: I have no clue. I don't read Hebrew.

Lumanny the Space Jew NO. That term is unacceptable. How dare you?? Using 'Nazi' in such a frivolous manner is not to be tolerated. That always pisses me off too, like when people call me a "feminazi" or an "econazi." Using the word "Nazi" when you're not actually talking about Nazis is just annoying and seems to trivialize what Nazis actually did. Anyway, you'd think there'd be a better way for people to phrase it...
