I have a few programs that I compose on, from which I can render midi files. I'm sure nobody could ever find any practical use for them, but it's how I spend most of my time anyway, and I figured someday someone might just be interested. xp

I like MIDIs.

I have Finale 2003 and 2001. Unfortuantely, I'm a crap composer.

Crap? crying The fact that you do it at all gives you merit, I'd say.
How often do you play with it?

And have you seen 2006? It blew my mind! It's seriously ridiculous.

I use Cakewalk myself... I mean, it's not great but it works pretty well and is pretty easy to navigate.

I'll stick to my straight up trance compositions though. Woohoo for FL5.0

I don't play with it a lot lately, but I used to. And, as I have very high standards for myself, they all sound too generic. So I just used it to dissect songs I liked to play 'em on the piano. cool

No, I haven't. How is it ridiculous?

Yay, for making a lurvely thread! However, next time, remember the guidelines for posting in the GD/ED discussion subforum.

Thankee.

I made a rendition of Clocks with a friend on his MIDI program. It was fun, but I still don't really understand how he did it. neutral

I love music, but have always been afraid to compose, until recently... when I just got a great idea and started working on a piece... but I don't have any programs... what program would you guys suggest? Is there one that's either free or not expensive (Finale is waaay too much money~!)

Finale is also questionably available for download. ninja

Did I just say that? I didn't hear anything.
