Rockstar watched as the grass made streaks in the vast open field. The day was windy, but horribly warm. The wind was welcomed by all grazing in the field. He snorted as a bug buzzed around his ear. The sound was soothing, and it had a melody to it. He began to hum along, untill the insect flew off. Then he remembered his task. The reason why he was waiting in the great field. He was waiting for a mare. He had never met her before, but his skin was tingling with excitement. Scarlet's words ran in his ears. You sing so well, do you have any singing partners? I know of one girl, she is a sweet heart, I think you would like her. She would be happy to teach you a few songs. Why don't you meet up with her?
The mare's name was Stripe, or so he recalled. He wondered what she was like. Most people found his singing annoying. So it was fun to think that this mare may teach him something new, and help him create songs. He waited patiently. All he knew about this mare was that she had stripes.

 Stripe Dashed her was throughout the fields not thing much at all, and only slightly nervous.
She weaved in and out whinnying when ever she saw soquili.
Apparently she was looking for a black soquili with a white sock, a trow over and some reigns.
Grandma Scarlet said something about him, a musical singing horse or a dancing horse. Stripe was interested she liked to sing, not all the time but she sure liked to sing, and was glad he hadn't bee given a horrible singing voice either.
She sang anything she had liked and herd of, mostly two legger songs.
Stripe dashed round the fields until she though she spotted the right stallion, her nerves flipped.

Rock sighed. this was getting boring. He had not been waiting for long, in truth, he had arrived to the meeting spot late, but he was one to become impatient and fidgety quickly. He began to sing quietly. He sang a song he heard his two-legger singing while she was weaving a basket for an expecting mare. It was a very calming song, it made him think of a small village with a spring. He smiled.
"Behind the willow, down the river
you hear the water, bubbling and laughing.
The sun smiles, you are welcome.
Into the place, that we call home..."
He only knew the first verse, as the rest was hummed by his two-legger. He finished the song and then began to look around again. Not much had changed, he sighed, but suddenly, his eye caught sight of a mare with a long mane. He body color was deep and different and her mane was black. But she had stripes! Before Rock could stop himself, he began to run over to her.
"Are you Stripes?"

And dark coloured stallion dashed towards her and asked her 'are you Stripes?'
She nodded with a smile," Yes, I am stripe."
"Nice too meet you", she whinnied,"and you are Rockstar?"
She flicked her long mane out of her face and looked him in the eyes.
"Are you the musical type Rockstar, I herd you're a marvelous singer, Grandma Scarlet has told me that you drove my Uncle Claude mad."
She giggled.

Rock nodded his head up and down excitedly. "I am, i am! Its really nice to meet you!" He said happily. Almost in a sing song voice. Most Soquili he encountered did not know much, or did not enjoy, singing. So this was a very special day for him. He was literally jumping from hoof to hoof.
"You know scarlet?" He asked, the fact she knew people he knew made him even more giddy. "Claude doesn't like some of the songs I sing. He only likes the old, castle sonngs. About knights and things. And those are Boring...." He said.
"What songs do you like Stripe?"

Stripe giggled at her 'uncle's' choice of song, she flicked her long hair out of her eyes,"I do know scarlet",she smiled licking her muzzle a bit,"Claude can be a nice guy, but that seems a bit boring. I'm glad I don't know any castle songs."
"I like anything that requires some proper singing behind it, mostly two legger songs", she shrugged a little," but if something has rubbish lyrics, isn't that catchy and it doesn't require good singing, then I don't like 'em much. I don't like rap too much. But everything else is fine_____."
She sand the last phrase, and now was humming to herself and tapping one of her hooves, swaying and bobbing up and down.
"You can sing some songs and I'll do my best to keep up, I'd love to learn some new ones."
"What songs do you like?"

Rockstar's smile became plastered onto him face. "I like tow-legger songs as well!" He said enthusiastically.
His two-legger listened to music quite often. He learned many songs from her.
"I don't know most of the names, but I love singing along. There are so many different ones."
"I also know alot of old, folk songs from the lands where I was born. My mother would sing them to me when i was younger. And I know some parade and traveling songs as well!" he said cheerfully. "My father was a parade song so he taught me many!"
He hoped that they could teach each other many songs. Stripe seemed very nice and bubbly, he hoped to become her friend.

"I don't know most of their names, either, I'm not too keen on two leggers, not unless they are nice." She shook her hair, causing her mane to flail around, and blowing out air through her nostrils.
"I don't really know any old folk song, well I don't think so. But we both know different songs, I listen to my dada sing. He sings two legger songs from a place called England and some places like American and Europe and a few two leggers from Australia." Strip giggled at his plastered smile,"oh, how interesting. I wish I had an interesting linage."
She tilted her head and hummed to herself stopped and then smiled again at Rock, her smile grew stronger until it was plastered like Rock's.
She thought they must've looked like two mad soquili from afar, but they were just happy.
"The only thing I don't like is annoying songs, or anything or anyone out of tune."

Rockstar laughed. "I know them because many of the songs in festivals or parades were old. They talked about how the land was settled and how it slowly became a beautiful place. It all started with a two legger named... Columbus?" He told her joyfully.
"England? I know a few songs from there! There is one song about a Violet Hill, and another where they yell Viva la Vida!" He giggled shaking his mane excitedly.
"I could sing you one of those songs, or an old song if you want!"

"Ah yes, from what I herd, he was an idiot. This land had already been inhabited",she laughed.
Stripe started to sing,
because she loved the two leggers called coldplay,"Was a long and dark December, from the roof tops I remember, there was snow,"she began to grin,"white snow..."
She broke off,"Viva la vida as also a good song, it makes me happy."

[-JEALOUSSS!!!- D'8 I missed them when they came to my city last year. ;o;]
Rockstar's chest filled with glee at hearing that his brand new friend recognized some of his beloved songs. He continued from where she broke off.
"White snow...
Clearly I remember. From the windows they were watching
while we froze...
down below." He snorted happily.
"Do you know any songs written by twoleggers name...Thriving Ivory? I really enjoy their songs. The lyrics and the guys voice is strange, but the beat is very fun." He said with a smile.

Stripe smiled, not many soquili openly sung and enjoyed it as much as this stallion.
Her ears perked,listening intently,"No I don't think so, but could you teach me a song? I'd very much enjoy learning a new song."
She flicked her long hair out of the way pinning it back slightly,
whinnying happily and stomping on the ground a little.
"Thriving Ivory? Wow, twoleggers like to make big names for themselves. What kind of music do they do?"

Rockstar chuckled, "id be happy to teach you! Most of their songs are really sad, but...Im not really sure what it is, but I really enjoy singing their songs."
He cleared his throat and reviewed the song in his head. "This on is called Alien.

Stripes ears flicked listening to the lyrics quite new to her, and stayed in silence until he'd finished and applauded him, cheering as if he were a showman.
She thought to herself,'Alien, 'ey? Wow, it's lovely.'
She smiled, "I don't mind sad songs, sometimes oddly they are empowering and make me happy, I know it sounds odd, but I'm an odd mare."
"Where do yo hear all your music from, I just hear things, weather it be from other soquili or twoleggers or from a thing called a radio. It's quite fascinating having a little box sing to you."

Rock chuckled, "Don't worry. i totally understand! I feel the same about some sad songs."
He blinked at the mention of a radio, "I have never heard of such a contraption! How odd...Are there small two leggers in there?" He laughed gently at the thought. Very small two-leggers! he thought.
"My father was actually a parade horse! he taught me countless songs. And i helped out in festivals and parades all the time! When i left my family behind i traveled all around the lands and learned many different songs and poems. Some are really strange!"
"What about you? Do you have a favorite song or singer?"
