my dad is close to dieing probly within the next few weeks to months and i keep smelling this horiible oder around him that i cant even discribe but it makes me cough and i have to stand back its so bad. i love my dad dearly but this is the werid thing, no one else smells it.

...maybe you just have a sharper sense of smell than everyone else in your family. It's easy to tell if you can smell things like than from several feet away. It might be even an animalistic trait.

sent recepters are very interesting the way they work and act is almost a mini mirical.

im sure you know that if you smell a bad smell (say stinky feet) for the first little bit it smells really bad and then gets better and better untill you bearly smell it at all. so normal people smell these smells all the time and are so acustomed to it that they cant even tell its there. however as you have had plugged sinuses for most of your life your not.


Another thing, it could be is you may have the ability to smell death.
some tribel cultures claimed there shamen could smell death and they would use cloves or sweet wood/grass to ward him off.
