so i moved my enite community tank into the 20gal so they have twice as much room ^.^ i even got my first pleco! its a bristlenose pleco so it will stay small. well in addition to the pleco ive got 3 cories, 3 honey gouramis, and 1 betta
my sister wants me to get more fish, preferably more gouramis but i would like to know what else could go in there? any other types of gouramis besides honey i could put in there? i know my pleco has raised up the bio load in the tank alot, there are poops everywhere! but i love him i may just get some more honey gouramis but i would like to know what else is out there. i dont truse random fish caresheets on the internet, most of the ones ive seen i know are wrong so i feel the need to bug you guys first lol

Hmm, my first thought is that a trio of .jpg]chocolate gouramis might be a nice adition, though they seem to be pretty shy and fragile. Actually, I'm not sure it's a good idea to add too many surface fish, since it will increase the chance on teritorial squabbles. Since you have a lot of surface and bottm fish, how about some mid level? A couple of german rams, bolivian rams, cockatoo chiclidsOr if you like schooling fish, how about rasboras, cardinal tetras, minors or maybe indian glass catfish? I know rasboras and tetras will have no trouble with the other fish, and the american chiclids, usually have about the same temprament as labyrinthfish. They like having a rock or a thick patch of plants to form a teritorium around.

When I first got mine I barely saw her for the first few months, but then again she was very tiny and it was easier for her to hide. Now she comes out mostly at night. I'm pretty sure they're supposed to be like that.

I just got a black kuhli loach not too long ago. Waiting for the pet store to get more in so I can buy it some friends. Seems easy enough to care for, and they're really cute/fun to watch. I like that they look like eels. I have it in the 10g right now with a guppy and two adfs, but when I get it friends and get rid of the crays, the loaches will be going into my 20g. I think they're a great choice and they are often suggested for small tanks.

would it do ok with the fish i already have? my betta sometimes got nippy in the 10gal but now that he is in the 20gal he seems so calm and happy, he has his own section of the tank that he never leaves. he stays in the top right side of the tank, its so cute.

They like friends, the usual "group of 4 or more" thing. But since they're cheap and don't take up too much space, I think that makes them ideal.
They get along with other fish and if your betta can live with other fish in general, he should leave them alone. Just give them tubes and stuff to hide from him in. Mine will probably be with a male betta too. The crays ate my female betta, so I'm looking for a red halfmoon to go in my community.

I've seen pictures, and at petco a few weeks ago I did see one, but I had no money so he;s probably gone by now which makes me emo. Such a rare find but I love them. Also the white ones with red drips down their fins that look like blood. PetSmart uses them in their betta advertising (there's a gorgeous picture of a red male halfmoon staring me in the face everyday at work, all they have are crowntails and veiltails) but does not sell halfmoons.
PVC is fine. I have some in my puffertank and a piece that's going to go in my main tank. We also use it at the aquarium and most fishkeepers that need tubes use it as well. I wash mine off first though, never know what gets on it at the hardware store.
