I wasn't sure if there was a specific thread to post my poetry on so I decided to make my own. I've been writing for years, it's gotten me through the roughest moments of my life. I don't really rhyme or anything, I find it interrupts my thought process. Anyway, let me know what you think. I am fairly good with criticism.

Mary Most Vile~ This thickening pain engulfs, as death darkens my door. I'm screaming his name, and he keeps walking, my saviour, my god , my life. It's all in vain as I reach for the knife, though it rips like the pain in my stomach. Another kind of good mother, I take my one gift, my one true love, and throw it to the wind on the pretense of logic. Blood velvet, magick dust, and new life, "she's come undone" they say so why don't you nail me down, drain my life, call me a martyr and give me to christ.
Fallen Angels~ He gave me my life, I gave him his pain. He had his crucifix, I had my knife. He and I, burning on the inside and succumbing to life, gave everything to make it alright. Pain came in waves, and I cringed under his gaze, no longer his perfect girl because I stained my skin with my angry red marks. I gave him his pain, and he took his life. I have his crucifix, and he succumbed to the knife.

Full Sugar Moon
I drown myself, in this sickenly sweet desire, my arthritic bones in pain my gray skin at it's palest. The full sugar moon is rising like a ***** becoming a priest, as I scream at your touch. Cut me down, strip me of my dignity, hold me down and rape me of my emptiness as I dance my merry destructive way under the full sugar moon. I lay quiet and wait to destroy all I have in me. I have no forgiveness for those who unfaithfully depart, especially for the one who sold his own to make his addiction true. Full sugar moon, can you make me true? Full sugar moon, I need you?

I see i have a fellow writer in the house. Alright, lets see wha you can do....*looks over poetry*....
Hmm.....pretty good stuff, i have to say. I've been amazed by how much talent can be found on these boards, and you're just adding to it. Nice work.
But i see that your work is not exactly the...happiest stuff, lets say. Perhaps you should stop by my advisory room? No charge, i don't pull that kind of stuff.

As to how depressing it is, I have never been able to write a happy poem, it's weird but everything I come up with seems so cheesy and false. Advisory room? I do not think I have been there yet.

This is kind of a mushy poem I wrote about my boyfriend, our 1 year anniversary is coming up and it means alot to me so I wrote about him. As I said, I hate to rhyme.
The Lady and Her Knight ~
My hope, my desire, my thought. Surrounded by the most cherished darkness.
Those eyes, that heart and the burning that has always been.
His love, his passion so like my own, filled me in that first sweet kiss.
Our tragedy was our blessing knowing love was returned.
I am his, he is mine our joy and sorrow are so entertwined.
His dark beauty so mesmerizing and distracting to my roaming eyes.
I am beautiful again in his eyes and his words make me real again. And yes, I love you will always suffice.
