My sister started reading this series by Nora Roberts with a vampire main in it, and now she's into vampire novels. She's even ventured into Twilight stuff and now she's also a Twimom. . . god! And my mom is starting the same crap now.

I'm just tired of the abuse vampires are going through in the name of undead jollies. There's a good chance I'll be reading other things from now on. I might have to just turn to either writing my own creatures into my plotlines--hardly any romance in MY books--and reading more obscure genres.

stare did you say Nora Roberts? Those are the only books my mom reads, are by Nora Roberts. She looks freaky!

my best friend's favorite author is Nora Roberts. I never knew she wrote something with vampires. Oh dear, I'm getting bad vibes from this...*hides under bed*

It's called the Circle Trilogy. And I fear my mom's going to read Twilight in the future. This is going to suck so hard.

There was this movie based on some book by Nora Roberts the other day and WOW. I HATED IT. There was this guy who left his hometown and went to Alaska and after being there for 5 minutes, he made eyecontact with some girl and THEN he went to a new years eve party and they sat alone outside and kissed >_> and then the NEXT day, he needed her to fly her up some mountain and then DUM DUM... SHE SAW HER FATHER DEAD THERE. Gah, I could throw up >__> Then came some drama drama drama..

I read the back covers sometimes when one of the Nora Roberts books are laying around my house...it's pretty much two people and they fall in love, blah blah blah. Then someone gets killed, blah blah blah, then they all live happily ever after! **gag**

I know! I'm starting to think that all of her stories are like that >_>

There's usually some helpless woman involved who needs a charming headstrong man. . . why does that sound familiar?

If you're going to read a story, read one with equal values, guy/girl wise. Bet Me by Jennifer Crusie is hilarious, has complicated guy AND girl characters, and they're both employed.

Plus its always like this: A guy meets a girl and they immediately fall in love. BORING. Plus the "I hate you and you hate me but then we realize that we're in love" annoyes me too. WHERE DID ALL THE CREATIVITY GO?

bah, the boy/girl thing bores me to death- it's like, been there, done that, don't wanna do it again. then again, I do love my yaoi.

I haven't read any of Nora Robert's books but after Twilight, the image of vampires ruined completely.

I like vampires.
Not the Sparklefaries that plague us today.
I'm trying to find Dracula, but it's MIA at my library. The records say it's in, but if you look on the shelf it's not there.
Oooooo....
Spooky.

If you go to Barnes N Nobles, sometimes they have the reprints of the classics for cheap-o on their discount shelves.
