Falsely rumored to be "the most haunted building in Britain," the Shrieking Shack is a favorite stop on any Hogsmeade visit. However, the wails that were once heard emanating from this creepy building were not in fact ghosts, but rather Remus Lupin transformed into a werewolf. The shack, in fact, was built when he came to Hogwarts, allowing him to transform a safe distance away from the other students . The shack cannot be broken into from the outside; it must be entered instead through a secret passageway, the mouth of which lies under the Whomping Willow .
- You can only roleplay outside of the Shrieking Shack, watching it.

Outside, in the cold air, with dark gray clouds collected above it, the Shrieking Shack looked more ominous then ever to Ginger, who had come up here by herself for a private moment of not-thinking. She had figured out she overdid thinking, her head so full and busy that she couldn't even sleep at night because of it.
Shivering slightly, Ginger stretched herself. She was very glad to be back at Hogwarts, and even gladder that Chelsea wasn't giving her such a bad time as she had expected.. On second thought, Chelsea seemed too occupied to give Ginger such a hard time. Maybe she was up to something?
There her head went again, suspiciously thinking everything she didn't want to think about. Sighing, Ginger got up to walk down the hill a little closer to the most infamous building in London.
