This isn't about errors like the marking tape still showing or how the movie was different from the books, this is about things that didn't match. Actors, wands, books, whatever.

The one that I noticed was the Fat Lady. This is what she looked like in the first movie:

And this is her I think in all the others:

Not only is it a different actress, they didn't even make her wear the same costume or anything! It's a completely different portrait.

Any other actor changes or things like that anyone noticed?

Well, I know that they changed the actor for Albus Dumbledore after the CoS, but that was because the old one died, so they obviously had to get a new one. I'll try to dig up some other things that don't match from one movie to the next.

One inconsistency I noticed between the first two movies and the others is where Hagrid's hut is. In the first two, it's near the castle. But starting in PoA it's suddenly somewhere completely different. It bothers me whenever I watch one of the first two, and then watch PoA.

In OotP, during Harry's nightmare, at the beginning he has a solid blue shirt, when he wakes up, its striped xD

I swear everything looks completely different (landscape, castle, robes, etc.) in the movies from how it was in Sorcer's Stone.

I didn't notice the thing about Hagrid's hut XD But now that you mention it wow that's true.

And yeah, the shirt thing happens all the time in movies, actually. It's quite annoying.

I dont remember which movie it was, one of the early ones for sure, in the same scene harrys scar is on the wrong side of his face. i want to say the prisoner of azkaban but i cant remember.

One thing that bothered me slightly concerning consistencies in the movies was how they handled professor Flitwick. In the first (and maybe second) it was a completely different actor with long grey hair, as I'm remembering during the "Wingardium Leviosa" scene. In the third movie (Prisoner of Azkaban) you don't see "Professor" Flitwick at all, but he was directing the choir! He wasn't even put in the credits with his proper character name.

At least from then on out the brown haired, sharper dressed Professor Flitwick prevailed, and I love the nod he got by pumping his fist in a "Yes!" fashion when the Weasly Twins made their exit from Hogwarts, during one of the OWL exams, and shattering Umbridge's dozens of framed edicts.

Apparently for Flitwick, it was the same actor, they just drastically changed his hair and makeup design

jasperslamb: I know what you're talking about, and actually, for the first three movies, his scar moved. Not very often, but in a couple of scenes, you can see that it's on the wrong side of his forehead (the fact that it was supposed to be in the middle notwithstanding).

meatballhead: Yeah I noticed that, too.

well, they can't really do it perfectly as the first one, each year, some thing's change and I think that's normal

if you noticed, there's this difference on the scene where harry and sirius were talking on year 4 and 5, i think.. because on the second one, sirius was actually on the flames..

haha, that's called continuity. It happens to all movies. Look under the "Goofs" link on imdb. It's actually quite amusing. Read the trivia and the goofs.

Read the trivia for the Harry Potter movies. JKR requested that it not be in the middle for some reasons, I don't know, but she doesn't want it in the middle. People just assumed it was in the middle, but on the covers of the books, she didn't think that the scar issue was that important that they redo it all over again.

The make up artists don't stay the same, you know? Unlike the cast and the directors, the make up artists change all the time. And you can't expect the people to apply the make up in exactly the same way every single time. And it's not like the scar is permanent.

The costumes changed from one movie to the other nearly every time.
In OoTP, Tonks' hair is to her shoulders. In HBP, it's cropped short.
Harry's eyes change from green to blue in some scenes- I think that's just the way his eyes are though.

But honestly, none of that annoys me nearly as much as having Rita Skeeter and not showing her as a beetle!
