http://music.aol.com/radioguide/bbWhile I LOVE the music on AOL radio, is it just me, or is most of it a variety of music goths may like, but most is very far from being actual goth music. But, for those looking for a variety of music, I strongly suggest AOL Radio. Great online radio, with a great selection of music, even if the goth music isn't directly always gothic. Opinions?

When I first loaded up the station, I got a Dead Can Dance song (from Serpent's Egg, no less), followed by Cruxshadows, followed by Hungry Lucy. Not a bad line-up of three groups. DCD have never been explicitly goth-rock, but they were a part of the scene 20+ years ago. Cruxshadows are more synth-pop than goth-rock, but they're also one of the biggest and most popular groups in the scene today. Hungry Lucy is, well, Hungry Lucy.
Let's see... next up I got Diary of Dreams, VNV Nation, Laether Strip... all leaning more towards electronic in some vein or another, though, DoD has some darkwave leanings. Hmm, drifting further away. The six artists lined up show more of an inclination towards EBM/synth-pop stuff you'd find at cyber-goth clubs.

GilAskan The six artists lined up show more of an inclination towards EBM/synth-pop stuff you'd find at cyber-goth clubs. That's because the Goths of today strayed away from the classics and like club music more.
