Selection Process: After we have received an application through PMs (see next post, interested artists!), we will pick out the ones that we think someone may enjoy for their art stages and post up the artist examples here. In the Guardian`s discussion thread, (Guardians and those who have been promised a Fa'e, PM me if you need an invite to the guild,) the Guardian community will discuss whether they would want that art for their own Fa'e. If enough people say yes, the artist is hired.
Payment will be done by the piece, and the price will be discussed upon hiring. We are expecting artists to deliver at least one piece per month, but special cases can be discussed. There are currently no plans to conduct any Fa'e auctions, so most income will be through contests and events and, potentially, a minishop.
Under the multi-artist system, there will be two ways for Fa'e to get a growth slot:
....a. They are seen as having need or are particularly deserving, and are invited to receive growth art for a particular artist,
....b. When an artist is ready for work (i.e. has no other growths withstanding), they will post an announcement of an open growth slot, which can be claimed by any Fa'e who has met the growth requirements in the Growings thread, or
....c. If an artist is especially inspired by a particular Fa'e (and is keeping up with normal growths), they can offer to do the next growth.
This system is set up to prevent someone from getting art from an artist whose style they might not prefer, so that the community can disagree on what they like in an artist and still be able to get the sort of art they want.
