Do you have to be married in to Judaism in order to be considered a convert?

No.
There are lots of unmarried Jewish converts and lots of people who married into Judasim who aren't converts.
One has essentially nothing to do with the other.

I figured as much a girl in LD said that in order to convert you need to marry in. I figured that was just the Hasidic Jews that did that..

That is not a requirement in Hasidic tradition.
You just got trolled/mislead by someone with inacurate information.

Well she claimed that her friend or neighbor is a Rabbi and told her that. But when she said she'd give me his phone number I immediately knew she was lying. -.-

Actually I knew when she even said that you had to be married to be a jew that she was lying. Conversion is one of the few things I know about Judaism. I just wanted to clarify.

In fact it's probably the opposite. You should convert for you, not who you are marrying. I can't image that even the Chasids would rather you convert for an insincere reason than have an interfaith marriage.

ABSOLUTELY NOT. A convert should not come to convert for financial gain, to increase social standing, or to marry a Jew. You convert only for your own sake, for the purpose of binding yourself to the mitzvot.

After conversion, though, you're bound to endogamy ("marrying within," that is, marrying a fellow Jew), if you marry at all. A woman isn't required to marry or to have children.

However, a Jewish man IS required to marry and have children if he is able, so if you marry a Jewish man who hasn't yet had children, make sure you want to have them yourself.
