Yesterday me and my friends were caught in a thunderstorm, and a massive one at that. Trees were falling, there was little visibility on the roads, the streets flooded, and apparently there were at least 2 tornado touchdowns.
Most of the city had no power and on top of that, a child died. It's kind of scary to think that storms like that can actually happen up here, but while i mourn for the deaths of those who were there, part of me wishes that I had seen that tornado. (my first career choice as a child was tornado chaser).

Anyway, we finally have power back, but i'm seeing a lot of the damage this morning. It was insane. It's been a long time since we've had a storm that big. My new friend who was visiting in Orillia had to stay an extra night because of the storm.

But i am glad i was with my friends at the time. we had to go out of town for food though.

anyone else see that storm?

I wonder if it was part of the same system we had. Two days ago we had a storm that dumped massive amounts of rain all day and two tornadoes touched down in a large city, and one in a suburb. In fact, it rained all day yesterday again, though lighter. The clouds are just now leaving, I think it was raining most of last night as well.

I love the rain though, no complaints~

We had a nice batch of storms go through last night with hail, heavy rain (which I love and would have gone out in if it hadn't been storming so badly), tornadoes, and very loud claps of thunder to go with the huge bolts of lightning. We lost power for a few hours. I think it rained more overnight and through the morning too. Don't know if there's any more on the way, but we need the rain either way.

yeah, Southern Ontario's apparently part of Canada's tornado alley, so a lot of big thunderstorms can cause tornados. it's kinda scary if you think about it...and i only really found that out within the past year despite all the tornado drills we've had at school (always thought it was silly; tornados don't hit Canada!).

we've certainly been getting hit by big storms lately. sure, not as bad as some places, but man...

Just had a big thunderstorm last night. Scared the crap out of the cats and I thought for sure the power was gonna go out. Lucky the power stayed on and the storm passed. It was nice to watch too.

we need Fabio to post that video we made!

Also, i came to work and found out a twister passed through the area where i worked. It didn't touch down, but it did some serious damage. A window broke at the Montanna's restaurant (hurting a guy), signs were torn, trees snapped, etc. It was bizarre and cool.

We had a thunderstorm today.
Not much rain, which Texas really really needs, going through kinda a mild drought.
Which is weird, cause it usually rains alot during the Texas summer.
But the sky was like, black, and there was alot of thunder.
In fact, I got shocked when we took Kuro to get her books, which the store wasn't open.
I had put my thumb on the metal inseam of the passenger-side door.
And when the lightning flashed, it felt like a shocker pen had touched my thumb.
I was like, "I got shocked!" but it was funny.

No rain or clouds where I live (darn and we need it too).

I'm glad nobody from the APG was hurt, and I hope all those that had damage done to their homes, or themselves, are okay. My thoughts to everyone.
