Hey, Guys!
I know I'm not much of a poster, I just keep lurking around most of time and all.
Buuuuuuuuuut!
I'm really anxious. xD
I don't know who have seen when I posted in someone's thread saying I'm going to Japan to study a year in there.
So, for those who didn't know, I'm going. XD
And for those who already knew, I'm going soon. =o
To be specific, on September 1st I'll be leaving Brazil.
So, have you guys traveled to Japan? (Or any other far away country?)
How was it?
What did you take in your luggage? xD
What a big post for someone who's always lurking. xD

{Sunrise}//(Make me feel life) (Sunset)//{Make me feel love} I just went to Japan last month. AND IT WAS AWESOME.
I'm hoping to study abroad (or two) in Japan during college, but that's still a long time away. I'm so jealous mister!! DX
OH, you know what is the funniest thing to do there? Bring some Pop Rocks (if you have any), and give them to a Japanese person without telling them what it is. Funniest s**t ever.
You're going to be missing the summer season (lucky you), which is good because it's really hot and humid. But the fall and spring season is suppose to be really nice. Remember that winters are cold! (or so I heard)

maybe cold for their standards <.< if you're used to Canadian winters, then you could probably stand Japanese winters...but it also depends on where in Japan you are (it's going to be colder in Hokkaido than it is in the more southern parts of Kyushu)
and i hate you. i want to go to Japan to study abroad, or just go to Japan, but it's incredibly expensive from what i've heard. and if it isn't it will be if i go because i'll be buying things left and right XD the poor people will be gawking at the strange red-haired foreign girl buying anime memorabilia like crazy.
the farthest i've been from home/Canada is going to Florida for a couple weeks. as fun as it was (i love theme parks heart ), i want to travel outside of North America <.<

@Anfinity: I'm gonna live in Kyoto. =o
@Kira: Huh... I've been lurking since I've joined. xD
I don't post much, really.
And this is my first time going abroad. Never have gone outside Brazil. But, I've traveled to a lot of places within. x]
@Nightgina: But I'm gonna spend a Summer in there. xD
Next year's. =o
What are Pop Rocks? o.o
@Insanity: Here where I live (In Brazil) there aren't hard winters. The coldest it gets is like 10ÂșC.
I'm a bit scared of all the cold I'm gonna face. eek

I've been to Japan before~ It was quite fun. I went to Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka. They were all really nice, and the food was amazing.
One of the things I love about Japan is how much they value appearances, like everything's packaged really neatly and it's so pretty and ahhhhh I want to go back. ;_;

very mean things to give people who don't know what they are. it's this weird candy that when you put it in your mouth, it pops and fizzes. Wiki can explain better than me. looking into it, it's really not cold there at all during the winter. where are you going to be? as i said, it's going to be colder in some places than it is in others.

I'm going to Kyoto. 3nodding {Sunrise}//(Make me feel life) (Sunset)//{Make me feel love} It wasn't that mean. XD The girl I gave it to screamed, but it was more from surprise than anything else. She and all of the other students wanted some after that, even though she didn't tell them why she screamed.
Kyoto, huh? I thought that Kyoto was more humid and hotter than Tokyo, but not unbearably. I didn't get to spend as much time in Kyoto as I did Tokyo, but Kyoto is the best place to go if you want to learn more about the Japanese history, since is still has some of the major temples and castles, because Kyoto wasn't attacked during WWII.
Try the Tofu ice cream. I didn't have the guts to try it, so I want to know if it's actually good. XD

still nonetheless, it's a weird candy and i personally have never liked them :/ fizzing was too weird (Warheads, on the other hands...)
well, either way, just make sure you have the appropriate clothing for the climate. it's probably still hot and humid, if not moderate over there right now, and it probably doesn't get really cool until late October or November.

But I wanna try Natto. xD
@Insanity: I know, I know. I'm gonna take clothes for the hot weather and buy the ones for cold when I get there.
