Initially going into the article I was thinking along the lines of an american consumer. And what I would get if I was in that market. I was particularly interested in the Nismo 370Z and the Camaro SS. Based on looks, I'd probably pick the Camaro. However after reading the reviews it sounds like it would be an awful car to drive. I'd still give it a chance with a test drive, maybe it does suit my driving style, but by the sounds of it, it doesn't. The 370Z on the otherhand does sound like it could be quite good fun. And having seen the regular 370Z in real life, I quite like it. Its much better looking than the 350Z and looks like less of a porker. Reading further about the GT500 would've made me put it on the list of cars to test drive for sure where it wouldn't have been up there.
If all three of those cars became available in South Africa, my priority list of cars to test drive before buying would be:
1: Chevy Lumina SS 2: 370Z 3: GT500 4: Older M3 5: 135i M three door 6: Camaro SS

Coming from a Saturn SC2 and a Pontiac GTO... the 370Z is too far in the middle for me to consider. I did like driving it (see my review), but the only reason I'd take one over a Genesis Coupe, is because I hate the Koreans more than the Japanese. The Japanese at least gave us tentacle rape hentai.

Glad the Miata made it in 3rd.
I was also very interested in the Camaro. Not so much anymore!
