A goldfish which was flushed down a Scottish toilet has been rescued from a sewage plant ... and named Pooh.
The fish was found flapping for its life in a filter by a worker at a South Lanarkshire sewage plant.
Acting quickly they plucked Pooh from the sewage and popped it into a tank of water where it soon began swimming around.
It is thought the owner probably flushed the fish away, assuming it was dead.

I waited liketwo weeks to see if my fish would move before I flushed it...then when the second one died I felt bad for flushing the first down the toilet, so I buried it in a plant pot smile

-part time ninja- had a pair of goldfish that lived over 5yrs. They kept getting bigger and we put them in bigger tanks. When the 1st one died, it was too big to flush so it got a burial at Rumpke's landfill, in a nice little Nike's casket. When Kimberly finally died after 7yrs, she had to be put in one of her dad's shoe boxes. She started out being 1.5inches long and when she died, she measured over 7 inches long, almost 2inches high and about 1/2inch wide. Now that is one big goldfish, more like a gold-koi.
