yukiz1fan, this is in response to your post and I thought you could help to clarify what Jihad is according to the Islamic faith. The reason I'm posting this is because I've seen so many different ideas floating around on what Jihad is and I thought a thread devoted to explaining it might help to clear up some misconceptions that others have and maybe some of my own as well.
I was taught that there were two forms of Jihad, a greater and a lesser.
The greater Jihad was more of a personal struggle, while the lesser Jihad dealt with defending Islam from those who would attack it.
Is that even sort of correct?

Jihad means to stuggle for a greater cause.
there are many types of Jihad
Jihad of tounge
Jihad to eyes
Jihad of ears
Jihad of mind
n Jihad of fighting in war to defend ur country and loved one, to defend Islam.

when u want something real bad but dont have money for it and u want to steal it but dont beacuse its wrong
that is Jihad
