What is the last book you bought. Write what book it is, where you got it, when you got it, and why you bought it!
I'll go first! The last book I got was The Scarlet Pimpernel. I got it at Barnes And Noble. I got it yesterday just because it looked awesome!
Now your turn!

The last book I bought in a store was The Draconomicon (D&D 4th ed.) at Borders (with a coupon) as a birthday gift for my husband. (Though I get to read it after him.)
I'd have to find my list of invoices to detail all the books I just bought in the past week for my library (though I do remember Power Pack Classic and Pet Robots were in the box, since I put them aside to read before they get processed by circulation staff).

The last book I bought was The Vampire Chronicles Collection by Anne Rice, which is the first three books in the series in one volume. I bought it on July 12th at Barnes at Noble on the way home from a wedding because I've been wanting to read the series for a while and already owned the middle to the end of the series thanks to a garage sale.

I think the last book I bought was The Story of the Trapp Family Singers about a month ago at Goodwill (I usually get books from the library so I don't shop for them often). I got it because I'm distantly related to the Trapp family.

The last book I bought was a couple of weeks ago at the Cracked Book, a used book store. It's called Warrior Angel, though I can't remember the author. I bought it because I'd seen it a couple of months ago, and it kept coming back to me.

I think the last the book I bought was; 16 On the Block by Babygirl Daniels.
I bought it at a discount at Frugal McDougall bookstore about a month or more ago.(I usually get books from paperbackswap, a book trading site). I bought it because its the type of book series genre I read that's based on teenage minorities for young adults.

Man, I've been broke for so long I can barely remember. I'm looking at my bookshelves and the newest one I see is Warbreaker by Brandon Sanderson.

Vathek, by William Beckford, I bought it in a St. Giles Hospice charity shop, and I bought it because a) I love classics, and b) The Oxford World Classics have recently changed the cover designs of all their books, and I'm a sucker for having a row of matching spines, so since I already have quite a few in the old-style, I always keep an eye out for them in the charity shops & second-hand book shops
At the same time I also bought Sybil by Disraeli (the name caught my eye, and when I read the blurb it seemed interesting enough and hey, it was written by one of our old PMs, so *shrug*), a book of plays by Ibsen (I keep seeing it everywhere, so I thought it was finally time I bought it), the poems of Propertius and Petronius' Satyricon (because I study Classics).

I bought four books of the Hannah Swensen series. I think it was Sugar Cookie, Key Lime Pie, Lemon Meringue and Carrot Cake. At the library. For about three dollars. Our library sells its old or rarely-rented books super-cheap. smile
