Reirianna's Seal





Introduction
This is just a mini project I work on whenever~ (Although I'm more into working on it lately.)
I'm still kind of working on the story and characters, so more details will be updated later.

Story
Ray is just another prince in the world. He is spoiled, he spends almost everyday admiring at his own wealth and status. He stays within the castle everyday and hates to step out into the outer world... until it comes to him personally. Ray then finds himself tangled up in some kind of destiny fate brought to him.

Chime forcefully takes him out of the castle, and makes him go with her to find what she needs...
Their mission is to find a way to re-seal a gate, which leads to another world. If not sealed, The current world will be taken over by monsters. (again, one of those "saving the world" stories XD)

There are more to the story, but I don't want to spoil anything >.<



Characters
These pictures are actually a bit old, when I re-draw them, they will look a tiny bit different.

Class: Fighter

A boy who betters himself than others. Due to his hate for leaving the castle, he is clueless about the outside world. He has learned how to fight (and many other things) within his home, by professional instructors.

Class: Blazer

She seems to be a calm minded girl who is a strong believer in justice. One of her personal goals is to change Ray, because she finds his attitude rather annoying. Chime is mature despite her childish appearance.

To me it sounds like some...battle mage thing. Haha. Maybe because when I think of blazer I think of some crazy fast person plowing through enemies fast. xP

Story line propositions-

ok, so the prince being taken from the castle has to have guards who worry about him, so what if a bounty is placed upon the girl chime; forcing the prince to 'choose' between the ideals of the girl and of his own selfish whms, not a life or death strugle, but can deviate the story line. If you side with the girl, then the soldiers join you rhen, if you act selfish, the girl is imprisioned, then monsters attack the castle, forcing you to admit the girl is right and then the guards and girl join you, on one side, the girl gains strength, the other the guards gain strength and the girl is diminished for a little bit in power.

this would just be to add some sub characters to the arsinal. These two being can't be the only ones to believe in this, are there a few rag tag fighters that might join up? healers are needed, and are their love interests? alwayse nice to have a few in a story.

does the portal close from the entrance, or will they need to enter this other world half way through?

attempt at class identity.
Blaze Maji- Speed and power are the main strengths of this class, thunder and fire are the main offensive attack styles. With this speed boost, self healing through rapid self regeneration is possible. Though this class has great power, they are prone to self distruction and sacrafice of their ideals.

Prince/Lord Knight
experts of arms, refined equipmentand skill gives them power and esteemed prowace in battle. Many of this class have little recent field experience and lack stamina for prolonged engagement.

Knight
the regualrs of any kingdom, high stamina with decent equipment, though they lack the skills and refined equipment of the higher ranks, their endurance exceeds that of the spoiled rich lord knights.


--Monsters?--
Hell Fly- small but swift, they have a weekness against the cold and are prone to be quickly drawn to temper by the slightest annoyance. strong against flame, weak against thunder and water/ice.

Grubluf- the grunt of the invading monster force, low inteligence and slow witted but easily enraged and motivated by eachother and their leaders, earth atribute, weak against regular blows but tollerant against most elemental attacks.

Yes, but please include me in the creative process!

I want to involve a beast master... something to deal with beasts and use bestial moves upon opponents, and if we could get some enchanted animals, like wolves or dragons...

also other magic classes-
discription of skill sets
(Tera Majier)Nature- Being in tune with the wind and nature, elements of the living earth, the wind and plants are under influence. cares to inflict status ailments and boosts along with strong but slow or swift but draining damage.

(Aquis Majier) Water- healing and powerful ice and water and steam afflict and burn and freeze opponents

(Damonos Majier)- dark powers, blind, confuse, damage, and self damaging assaults

(Engel Majier)- holy powers, healing, defending, curing, holy damage at self sacrafice.

Is there gonna be job changing? or are they stuck!? I'dwanna be able to choose the initial job for my main character, but i see the point in using a fighter first, a great way for a basic introduction into game functions.

Well I prefer to work alone for most of the parts ^^

But you are welcomed to suggest ideas, and if I like them, I will incorporate my own ideas into it, then add it into the game.

As for classes, I am going to make them stay the same.
This is because it's my first game, and I don't want to make things too complex (I am just getting the hang of RM2003)
Also, I want to focus on the plot/characters than the technical parts of the game (due to my lack of knowledge for RM2003 again).
I've already got a good sense of the whole story already too.

I will include you in credits... when the day comes XD
Who knows how long it is gonna take me to finish the whole game.

Ok, so I finished making grass tile and part of Chime's sprite. I posted the picture under screenshots.

Do they look ok? I almost never do sprites... so I'm not too good at it XD;

Does the grass look alright? I think it might be too grid-like...
I know the first time I attempted making grass, it turned out really bad ---> Ugly

With your grass tiles, just do one mat color with minor alterations, not a constant change in color from green to a slightly lighter color and back and fourth, it distracts from the main character. But as for your sprite, i found it to be a bit wide looking, so i tried to shape her up a bit.
