So basically, I need a new laptop for work. I would really like a netbook as it would be much easier to carry around, etc. And netbooks are getting powerful enough that they stand their own ground for almost anything you need them for. Or I'd like to get an tabletpc. Costs twice as much, but so much more fun to play with *Multi-touch-gasm.* What I'm looking at right now are all slightly customized versions of the following. Netbooks: Dell Inspiron Mini 10vHP Mini 110TabletPC: HP TouchSmart tx2zSo I would like to hear peoples opinions on theses as well as any recommendations on other netbooks or tabletpcs. It'll be 3-4 months or more before I get around to buying one, so I've got lots of time to discuss it (And for prices to maybe drop a bit.) PS - PIXIE, YOU WILL GET TO PLAY WITH THE TABLETPC IF I GET ONE KK!?

i'm not very good at suggesting laptops. xD mostly because I've never shopped for one.
omg tabletPC. I've always wanted one. ;w; I love my iTouch for its multitouch and screen and all that, but it only responds to finger heat and fingers are too chunky to draw with.
We saw a HPTouchSmart desktop at Sam's for $700 (from like $1200 originally).
How much are you willing to spend?

I say go for HP smile I have an HP desktop and loooove it. I got it 3 years ago and have never once had a problem.
I also just got a Sony Vaio laptop in February and havent had a problem with it yet.

surprisingly, I now have a Dell Inspiron Mini 10. (not 10v).
the memory is soldered to the motherboard so i can't upgrade it. >w>;
it's been fine so far. o3o You just have to modify a few settings because at first the fonts are lykewoah big so it consumes a lot of screen space, but I can read small things so it maximizes my screenage.
it has a 1024x600 pixel screen with... 96px per square inch? i think?
it is really light tho.
