Between the northern and southern halves of the Ukude Forest lies a strange lake. There is no river which connects to it to fill it with water, but somehow it still exists. Legend says that on nights when the moon is full magic phenomenon happen at the lake. No one can ever predict what will happen; sometimes your fortune is good, sometimes it is bad.

❤ Ashe waltzed to a lake in the forest in which she was training and sighed. Then began to think to herself... "A lake... I haven't seen one in so long..." Ashe's parents made her avoid lakes at all costs due to the fact that her uncle had drowned in one, also, if she were to fight at one, it wouldn't benefit to her since she was a fire Element wielder...
❤ Ashe smiled sweetly and knelt in front of the lake and took a container from her pouch and filled it with water. "This'll do me some good!"

❤ "That should do it!" Ashe pulled her container from the lake and secured it with a lid then put it in her pouch. "There's no point in my being here anymore! I should better head home... I'm pretty tired and since there's nothing for me to train with here, I might as well get a good sleep!" Ashe stood up from her kneeling position and walked back into the forest.
❤ After going through the forest, Ashe waltzed all the way to home...

Death entered into the large clearing in the Ukude Forest which contained the Moon Lake. It was currently about mid-day so nothing interesting was going to happen. The lake was probably the safest place in the woods during the day. The water shined under the radiant sun and seemed so serene and peaceful. "Ah, I wish you could see this, Life." Death knew his sister was right behind him and that she would hear. "We can stay here a bit and prepare if you'd like."

Life appeared only a second behind him. "And I wish you wouldn't say things like that." She stood beside him, turned toward the lake. A subtle breeze wafted across the water and splashed gently across her face. It brought the quiet sounds and smells of the area to her quickly. For a split second she drifted, yearning for something long, long lost...but only for a moment before burying it once again. Such thoughts and feelings were useless. Besides, they were on a mission. Allowing her mind to wander would not be wise.
"Yes, we should rest for a minute or two. Have something to eat and a little to drink. I smell no salt in the air, the lake is obviously fresh water, but do you know if it is safe to drink? If so we can refill our canteens if needed, as well."

"Sorry," Death apologized. If it was anything else he really wouldn't have cared enough to apologize, but this was both serious and personal. Some of the things Life could do truly amazed him at times. Death hadn't noticed the water was fresh last time he visited but that would explain why he didn't get sick from drinking it.
"Don't worry, the water's drinkable... I should know." It probably hadn't been wise to drink without studying it first but everything worked out in the end, Death was fine. He pulled out his canteen and filled it. He also removed his mask and drank straight from the lake. He put the mask back over his face and walked knee deep into the lake.

"Good," Life removed her canteen from beneath her cloak and took a drink from it. She then knelt down on the lake's edge and produced a small packet of food provisions also from her cloak. With one hand she unwrapped the food, with the other hand she pushed back the hood and lifted the mask off her head. She ate quietly, listening to Death's movements.
"Why are you walking into the lake? Do you have any idea what sort of fish or other aquatic or semi-aquatic creatures reside there?" Life sighed. "I hope they eat you."

"Ha ha ha, you're so funny," Death said sarcastically. He wasn't exactly sure why he was in the lake, but it just felt right. There must have been some magical quality to the water that attracted him to it. The water was just so inviting and comforting.
Death looked up at the trees on the north side of the lake. It was necessary that they observe the unknown before bounding into it. "I think I'll climb that tree to find the shortest route. How about you do that sense thing you do and check for anything potentially dangerous in the area."

Life finished her impromptu meal and took one more drink from her canteen before refilling it in the lake. Finished, she stood.
"Sounds good. How big of a sweep would you like me to do?"

Death thought about how far it would have to be. "How about just a couple miles north? That should probably do it. Just check for big things." Death waded out of the water and rounded the lake to the north side. Thankfully, there was a perfect tree right there. It was the tallest he had seen thus far and seemed easy to climb. Death made his way to the top and looked towards the mountains.
He peered at three which seemed to be the closest. The one on the left was the tallest and had some snow on it. The one on the right was the lowest with no snow. The center one was exactly in between the other two. He decided that it would be best to take the average of the entire mountain range and the center closest mountain seemed to be that. "OK, I've got a good idea at which mountain to go to. Well first at least."

"Alright, then." Life followed her brother around to the northern edge of the lake. She stood with her back to it, facing toward the mountains. Anchoring her feet firmly on the ground, she raises her arms to shoulder height and flicks both her wrists. A strong gust leaps forward, into the forest. As the wind hits objects it returns to Life, giving her a mental image of the area in front of them. Lowering her arms she calls up to Death.
"There's a sort of cave about two and a half miles north-northwest, and a large pile of wooden debris only one and a quarter miles northeast of our current location. Nothing else of great interest in a five mile radius."

After a bit of thinking Death had everything planned out. He jumped down the branches of the tree until he reached the bottom. He landed right next to his sister with a thud. "Before we go I'd like if you could materialize two more canteens and fill them," Death instructed; it was all part of a plan.
"When you're ready we'll be heading for the cave first. We'll have to clear it out of anything that might be there before we continue. When we do that I'll let you in on the rest of the plan," he assured. Death took a step in the direction of the mountain they were aimed at. "Remember that our mountain is this way, just if I forget."

Voern ran through the forest trying to find a way to moon lake. He needed to swim soon. Swimming was the one thing that made him feel like a normal human. Ot cleansed his body and soul as well as cleaning off the dirt he collects while making weapons. Voern stripped off his shirt leaving him half nude. Voern jumped into the water and sunk to the bottom. HE had found out one time that he can't die from drowning. For some reason when he was created by odin he was granted this gift. He loved walking along the bottom it was much enjoyable to him.

Life rolls her eyes at her brother, a habit she never bothered to break. He knew very well that she couldn't materialize canteens, though she certainly had extra pouches she could use as makeshift ones. It bothered her when he (or anyone else for that matter) forwent explaining things as they actually were for a more concise, though certainly less precise, phrasing.
Once the makeshift canteens are full, she turns to Death. "Alright, and thank you. I'll be sure not to loose my way. Well, let's get going."

Rae enters the area about Moon Lake. Her jaw drops as she sees the lake, she's never seen this much drinking water- nor any this clean. Sinking to her knees she utters a few swift words. She stands and moves about, dipping her hand gently into the water, lifting it back from the icy cool. The ground is made up of a mix of rocks, and sand, a ratio of about five to one. She runs her hands over the smooth rocks. "This is what a lake looks like?" She asks herself looking out over the lake and horizon, "There's not much sand here- is there? I wonder if there's more underneath..." She stands and finds a spot a few feet away, she kneels and feels around- hitting areas of stone lightly. She smiles. "There's sand here," she says, her smile brightens, "And its coarse! Its like nothing ever before...." Her mind turns back to her primary task, "Voern," She says standing, "He's here, I know he is! I shouldn't disturb him, it'll have to wait eh? Yeah.... Till then I should get back to work on the shop." ((exits moon lake))
