Claire ran through the trees, weaving, ducking and jumping to try and outrun the ones who were in hot persuit, right on her tail. Stupid. Stupid to go in the forest alone. Stupid to investigate some mysterious sounds. And now she was paying for it. One of the beasts had already gotten a good swipe at her as blood dripped from her flank. She'd payed it back for that but its comrades were out for more blood.
Branches swiped and scratched at her. As she ducked under a branch it got snagged in her hair, pulling hard on her scalp. "Damn it!" She pulled and finally snapped the band that held her hair up before continuing on. She was good as lost in this forest. Every tree looked the same and for all she knew she was going deeper in instead of going to the edge of the woods. Making a sharp turn she stopped behind a cluster of trees to catch her breath. She wouldn't make it much longer. If only there was someone to help.
Her eyes shot open. She did have someone. Yelling would draw more attention to her but it was her only hope. "Yama! I need help! Ple-!" She shrieked as another beast jumped out and she turned and ran. Jivan was her only hope now.

All four ears perked at once as Yama's heads lifted off his paws, he had heard Claires cries for help, he rose to his paws and looked to the sleeping Jivan, he let out a whine.
Jivan's eyes opened at the sound of the whine, he looked to Yama, no words needed to be said as he quickly jumped to his hooves. "Go, you'll get there before me." He commanded of Yama who nodded his heads and with a pair of snarls, he was off like a bat out of hades.
Jivan was quick on his hooves, he reached for a dagger that he kept at his side as he too raced off to the aid of a close friend. He was off, leaping over fallen trees, landing with a loud thud, warrior training most his life kept him fit for such things.
Yama's eyes narrowed in on a beast about to latch itself onto her side, he lept out beside her first, fangs bared as he snarled, heads lower.

Claire saw the flash of Yama's fur and could have dropped right there and kissed him. Instead she ran a bit further to hide herself behind a small cluster of trees. She slowly sunk to the ground, exhaustion taking over. She probably looked like hell too. Bloody, scratched and bruised with her down and tangled from the branches, her own sweat and the dampness the seeped through the trees from the sprinkling rain. Later on she'd have to go back and find the band for her hair and fix it. But for the time being she was just glad to be breathing.

As she ran, they lunged and Yama attacked, he was almost as seasoned as Jivan who came to his aid as several attacked him.
A few of the beasts attempted to try and go for Jivan, only to find themsevles flung into near by trees, the rest of the pack yapped and yammered back to their dens, tails tucked and wounds oozing.
Yama snorted a few times, his own wounds nasty but he looked to Jivan with a fanged grin before he followed Claires scent to where she was, Jivan following after.
"Claire?" He called out, as he glanced around. It was so dark and with only one eye that saw into this world, it was a bit hard to see her.

She could hear the fight behind her and it all seemed to go by so fast. It was quiet now but for the sounds of Jivan's voice and Yama shuffling around. When Yama found her she couldn't help but wrap her arms around him tightly. "Thank you. I owe you both possibly my life." She scratched his heads and called out into the dark. "I'm over here."
Claire checked over Yama and shook her head at his wounds. "And you did this for me. I really do owe you now. As soon as we're out of here I'll do my best to fix you up good as new."

Yama snorted at the bit about her owing him anything, and then once more as she commented about her fixing him up, he wore his battle scars with pride. He let out a pair of barks at Jivan.
"Ah, there you are." He said as he went over to the pair, he ruffled both of Yama's heads before he looked her over. "Come, lets get you fixed up." He offered her his hand once more, he was quiet glad that nothing much worse had happened.

Claire took his hand to pull herself up to her hooves and swayed a bit. "I'm a bit sore. I don't think I've ever run so much at one time in my life." She kept a firm grip on his arm to steady herself and leaned up to kiss his cheek. "Thank you. I'll thank you even more if you can find a way out of this forest."
A hand went up to her hair as she looked back the way she'd come. "I guess I'll just have to find a new band for my hair. Or make a new one. I really don't want to go back there to try and find it so let's just get out of here."

As she swayed on her hooves, his arms went around her, to keep her steady, he blinked at the kiss on his cheek before he laughed. "I can get out of here with ease." He said with a chuckle. "Are you alright though?" He glanced to her.
Yama shook out his coat with a snort as he trotted towards the exit of the forest, he had enough excitement for the night.
Jivan lead Claire out of the forest, his hold on her loosened now. "See, there we are. Out and your safe now.." he smiled at her.

Claire let out a sigh of relief as they came out of the forest. "I'm much better now. Just cuts and scratches, they'll heal. And you can guarentee I'm never going into that forest again."
She glanced around the area and tried to figure out which way to go. "Now if I could just find a river or something, I could go for a good soak right about now." She refrained from looking at herself since she knew it was pretty bad. She could feel the dried blood caked on her flank and dirt covering most of her body. "You're welcome to come. Actually I must insist, I don't know if I'm up to being by myself again right now." She let go of his arm, took one step and almost toppled to the ground from her legs giving out. Lucky he was still right there as she clung to his arm again to pull herself up. "...Well. I think I really do need you to come with me now if I can't walk on my own.."

He tsked at her with a shake of his head, "You body is still recovering from all of that and do not blame the forest for the hunger of some beasts." He said as he lead her towards the river.
"And it is a good idea to get all these wounds cleaned so we do not get any infections." He said with a nod of his head, he didnt mind holding onto her and keeping her up, it was nice.

Claire pouted a bit, knowing he was right. It wasn't right of her to blame the woods for the creatures who inhabited it. Even so it would be a while before she'd be able to work up te courage to go back in there.
"Right, infections." She then focused on how he had said 'we do not get any infections'. "Are you hurt? I know Yama is a bit though he doesn't seem to want my help. Probably his pride and all. But are you hurt seriously anywhere?" she asked as she started to look him over.

Previous reply over AIM: Jivan laughed a bit, "Claire..Ive been to war, several times. I've been in battle more times than I am old..A few bites and clawings from those beasts arent anything really." He continued to lead her to the river, easy with each step he took, so that she wouldnt' fall, he walked down the bank, turning towards her to help her down while he walked backwards. "Im fine." (Very lamely short xP)
