As the sun rose over their rocky home, Makail exited his hollow den, and into the cool light of morning. the king issued a giant yawn, and blinked the sleep away from his eyes. Today was just another day. A peaceful one, thankfully. He couldn't help but eccho the sentiments he heard whispered around - that he was not fit to rule. He wasn't his father. The passion didn't seem to be there in his heart. But he was his father's only child, and there was no other heir.
'Suck it up, and face your destiny!'
Yeah...some peptalk, huh?
Lumbering down to the lower ledges of the cevernous formation, down the river, and into the little oasis surrounded by the protective stones of their home. A paradise adjacent to his worst enemy - the court circle. When he had been a cub, and he'd watch his father and the Elohim deliver justice, it had been such a magnificent place. Makail hoped that over time, its splendor would once again return.
Makail stared down at his reflection in the water that pooled there - the sea water was significantly filtered by the rocks it was forced to run through, and was fitting enough to drink, but Makail was not thirsty. He was...thoughtful. Thinking was what he did best, after all. Perhaps being a philospher was more his passion that law, eh?

The adult male cheetah - white pelt mottled with grey - his green eyes fixed on some unseen object in the distance. Then, aware that he was no longer alone, he turned his sleek head and inhaled deeply.
A scent.
A scent he knew.
He did not smile, for Pekee'dunia rarely smiled, but his eyes seemed to soften somewhat as he made his way to the water. This was a new way of life for him. No travelling, company, having responsibility. Sometimes he wished his old friend Hidaya was there, but she was gone, leaving only her memory behind.
He sighed quietly before stepping up to where Makail was. And then, "Good morning." He dipped his head, letting his tail sway gently behind him. He was tall and lean but looked fragile when compared to the mass of the lion.

Makail looked at, and gave the pale colored cheetah a smile. "Good Morning."
After his 'talk' the other day to the God of Royalty (it had finally struck him last night that yes indeed, he had been visited by a god) Makail had been considering, even moreso now, a re-selection of judges. After being insured protection by the god, Makail had more confidence. The young king had temporarily forgotten about his plans untill he saw Pekee'dunia - one of the ones he had been considering to take the place of a current judge.
Now how to approach the subject,...

(( sorry hon @_@ I'm terrible at keeping up with rogue land RPs! ))
His green eyes flicked towards the lion, seeming to sense that the other was deep in thought. Perhaps he was intruding? It wouldn't do to intrude on the thoughts of another, especially an important other.
He shifted somewhat nervously and then cleared his throat.
"Apologies, would you like me to leave you in peace? You probably have much to think about and me being here can't be much help."
