If you are a member, not a crew member, and looking to apply for an art thread you must do the following.

Compose a neat and dictated letter to one of the crew members or mods of the forum with these elements within.
*At least Three Samples of your work.
*Why you would like to have a thread here.
*Gaia Personal information. (username, date of joining, time length on the site, etc, etc.)
*A set of rules you wish to have.

If you are accepted you will be allowed to open up your own thread in the forum!
*Note. You are not obligated to make your own freebie thread in the forum just because you have an art thread.
