Kitisho awoke to the little body firm to his side, the warmth shocked him into staying very still luckily. He hadn't noticed it the night before because as soon as his eye's were shut he was out like a light. It was Rose though. He smiled softly at her still sleeping frame. The air being brought in and let out making her tummy go up and down. Kitisho blatantly admired her a little while longer before nudging her gently with his nose.
"Hey there..." He whispered. his nose prodding again. He was smiling and almost giggling, he didn't know why. He felt all bubbly. "Won't your Mom be worried?" He was thinking that his Father might be but, with how often he snuck out Mauja would expect him back without worry. More with a 'what were you doing' asked out of curiosity.
Kitisho loved his Dad.

The little lioness groaned with the prodding - she didn't want to get up yet! She snuggled closer to the warm heat and her eyes remained firmly shut. "Few more minute..." She mumbled. She was too comfortable.
However, her efforts to drift back to sleep were futile - she could never get back to sleep when she was initially woken. She sighed, ut kept her eyes closed. No moving. Nope, she refused.
"Probably. I'll get a tongue-lashing..." She frowned. If she was already in trouble, she might as well stick around a bit longer. Might as well make the punishment worth it! Kitisho was her friend now, and she didn't want to let him leave.
Darn seperation issues.

Being the little lionesses eye's had remained closed he let his eye's admire longer. He stifled a yawn and then rested his head back down, the prodding doing nothing and besides he liked the comfort her own warmth offered along with that touch. He felt needed and loved. He got that at home but, this.. this felt super special!
"Okay, okay.." He laughed softly and let his claws dig out into the dirt a little bit. Playing with it. He loved his little claws so much, they were like the best friend he wished he had and had now seemed to obtain without knwoing it all to well.
"I hope that even with the tongue-lashing.. you'll sneak away again?" He smiled, they hadn't gotten much time to play around the other day. His favorite was to play fight and he hoped she'd be willing to. He'd like to share the fun things he did in his life with her! That's what friends did wasn't it?

"Mm," She agreed. Of course she would sneak away again. She gave a wide yawn and stretched from the position she was in, but she was too content to actually stand and shake the sleepiness from her small form.
She thought the tongue lashing was worth it. After all, she had a friend, and they could play together. His promises were nice too. She grinned at him.
"Won't your parents be worried though?" she questioned. Maybe he said something last night about it, but she truly didn't remember if he had. Maybe she should have paid attention more, but then... they were both tired despite them both being up at the ungodly hours of the night.

Kitisho shrugged slightly. He didn't want to move much and make her think she had to move. "My Dad trusts me." He wasn't sure of his new Mom at the moment. That new lion that was with them with those little cub's she'd brought. His new siblings. "My Mom... she can't really say much. She doesn't live with me. Then there's this new Mom. my Dad brought her home a little bit ago.."
Kitisho sighed slightly. the group had gone from just him and his sister and brother to a crap tonne of others. He didn't much like the larger group. He was accepting just finding it harder now that his Fathers attention wasn't undivided.
"But, she's a story of her own." He sighed again and moved his head to he faced the direct opposite way of Rose. He was slightly upset about that story and didn't want to overly seem it. He had just met this lioness and didn't want to push his life story on her all at once. That thought made him laugh slightly.

The small lioness quirked a small saddened smile. She mulled over the short monologue of his family and nuzzled him a bit. Her mother nuzzled her she she was feeling upset, so she figured it was a good thing to do.
"Heyhey, cheer up." If only she would ever follow her own advice. Ch, riiight. She shifted a bit to nudge him with her hips. She didn't like her friend being upset and she struggled not to frown.
Maybe he was worse off then her. He had been split from his family too! She didn't know how she would live without her mother, but at least her mother didn't bring in another male.
She almost dropped the struggled smile - she didn't like thinking of why adults did what they did. It made hyer head spin in confusion. Why would they do something like that?
She nuzzled the cheetah again, most to comfort herself this time.

Kitisho opened his eye's and gazed away before flopping onto his side and revealing his belly to her, the fur there was much more comfy and he welcomed her to lay closer to him for his own comfort and by the sounds of her voice.. for hers to. They needed each other. That's what it felt like to him.
"I'm happy we met." So young and yet so mature, the two of them.. meant to be friends. Made for each other to lean on. New to the world and yet so grown to the hardships it can provide. Family lost to the ties of other worlds that were so far away.
"You've only ever mentioned your Mom.. what about your Dad?" He had a feeling he was barking down a bad path and let the question out slowly. Not wanting to upset her.

She readily shifted closer to the soft belly fur of Kitisho. It was a lot warmer - she nearly purred in delight. She liked warmth. "I'm happy we met, too." She agreed.
She winced slightly with the question he asked. She knew it was coming, there was no way it wouldn't. She'd asked first after all - and he told her. It was only right for him to know as well.
"Father... wasn't around much when we were little. I met his other son once, though I don't think father knew..." She paused, thinking. "And one day, he just took two of my siblings and left."
She shook her head. She didn't like the male that was labeled her father - her sire. She was glad she was almost the replica of her mother, with only the colors from the smallest patches of her father.
"He had another mate somewhere. I think Mama knew though," her nose wrinkled in confusion.

Warmth. The biggest want the two of them seemed to share and what he enjoyed the most was her close to him. He put a paw around her now close body and 'hugged' her to him nice and close. he had another that wasn't part of the chaos he was residing in.
"Oh.. my real Mother, was a sweet lady. I liked her for the whole little bit I knew her.." He sighed, tears almost welling up in his eye's, he fought them his hardest and was almost winning. The pain of her story mixed with his own in his head made him think about life. And Life upset him a lot of the time.
"It was the hardest when my parents came and told us we'd be splitting up. My Mom went to some pack and Dad took us here. I guess in between all the shufflings he met this new Lioness." Kitsiho closed his eye's and curled his head in as his body tightened. Anger, the sadness of missing his Mom and the fact that some big old burly lion hurt this sweet thing piled up in Kitisho's heart.
"I'll never understand adults. Why can't they just love one and not leave them." He grumbled to himself a bit about his new step Mom and his sisters. So many sisters. To many in his eye's. He unclenched his newest pride and joy and forced himself to relax by swallowing down all the emotion and sighing.
"When I grow up and if I have little ones I will never do that." He swore out loud and forever who wanted to hear could hear.

Rose's smile widened a bit when she was hugged to the cheetah's body. The smile however gave a sad turn when the cheetah continued. She gave a small lick to his cheek in a hopefully comforting manner. She didn't speak.
Sh hated the saddness that just radiated from the pair. It was so... upsetting - she gave a frown and nuzzled the caramel-colored male's neck.
She listened silently, but decided to interject a quote her mother told her once. "It's better to love and lost, then to not love at all... Mama said so anyways." She gave a small, almost watery smile. Tears were in her eyes.
Grown-ups sucked sometimes. She almost didn't want to grow up at all.
The grin on the saccrine lioness was wide when he said his vow. "I won't either. Not ever! There shouldn't be so much pain..."

Kitisho hugged her tighter again. The atmosphere had gone from comforting to upset and move again with their vows to the world. Power had strengthened between the two. A bond. Kit never wanted to be separated from her and by the way she was he assumed she didn't want to be away from him. They'd have to go soon though. Their horrible lives beckoned and that's what Kitisho didn't want most of all. For the first time in a long time he began thinking about doing what he knew he'd never do. Run away.
He knew out in the bigger world other families probably had it worst but, right here. In his own little corner, the one he now shared happily with his little Rose, was getting more and more unappealing to him..
"Where would you want to travel first? I don't know much of the world. Well.. actually nothing at all." He laughed softly. Their vows had made him much happier and he went on with his usual attitude.
"Would.. would you want to find your siblings again?" He asked. He didn't know how touchy that subject still was. But, he knew that he wanted to see hsi siblings again. Maybe she would as well.

Rose grinned at him when she saw he wasn't upset anymore. Well, not really anyway. "Where to travel first...?" She repeated, thinking. "My... half-brother?" She didn't know what he was to her - her father's child. "Told me there's a lot of amazing places. He told me to ocean was real pretty," She nodded a little.
Her 'half-bother' was nice when he was sneaking about. She figured he was sorry for what his father did. "Hm... Maybe. When we're older, they might already have a great life... I wouldn't want to interfere..." She mumbled and laid her head down on his paw.
"It wouldn't hurt to see them, I guess. I do miss them."

Kitisho smiled to her and placed his head so they were nearly nose to nose, her eye's were pretty to him even when sad, they glittered and sparkled. Fascinated him. "You wouldn't be interfering and if they made you feel that way we'd leave and be as far away from them as you'd like!" He bore the confidence of his Father well. It was deep in him and would never be gone so long as it had something to be strong for.
"The world is ours to take into our paws and each day we'd take it. When we grow up it'll be ours!" He smiled broadly, his little cub teeth twinkling like a half dozen stars and nudged her nose lightly. "Perk up missy, or I'll have to do something about that pout." He gave her a smirk then and willed a smile to her face. Wanted to see those whiskers twitch with her laughter. Here the song of her laugh.

Rose gave the cheetah a smile and pressed her nose against his. "Alright," she grinned at him showing off her own teeth. Her ears stood erect as he listen to him speak. She giggled a little and gave a mock pout. But, like her wanted, he whiskers were twitching with contained laughter.
She gave in after a few second of the fake pout and giggle again. "The world will be ours," she ammended and gave him a nuzzle.

Kitisho smiled, nose to nose with his future. He giggled lightly at their little game of babble and face expressions. So young in body yet so mature already. As much as he was his Father, could thsi be his Mother coming out in him. Defending the younger, whether weak or could defend themselves. Sounded right. He smiled and nuzzled Rose back.
"It shall. And anything else you'd like.. My Queen." he laughed softly. Imagining the two of them, ON TOP OF THE WORLD. King and Queen. A thought for fairytales. The tales Mauja had sprouted when Kiti was much younger about prides and such.
Kitisho saw prides as a way to get to tied down. He'd rather the freedom the roguelands offered. "Would you ever join a pride?" He didn't know if Rose knew of prides but, he thought he'd check to see what her thoughts were.
