He was well fed and thus well behaved as he moved amongst the throng and into the subway car with a bit of a cheerful hum. Izaak was having a very nice night thus far, he had eaten well (one burglar and one abusive pimp), and he had gotten a very generous pay from a very kind client. Now he was on his way to a library where some new books on various bits of lore were being kept, good thing the library stayed open pretty late otherwise he'd never be able to squeeze it in otherwise. The bald man moved carefully amongst the people in the subway car, gazing at the world around him though his world always seemed closed to the casual observer.
After a brief moment he found his spot and plopped down in it and rested his messenger bag across his lap with a content sigh. This was a great night, fantastic night, and nothing could ruin it.
Nope. He wouldn't let them!

Sally was also well fed, ending the lives of a few unfortunate gang members while they attempted to kill a tourist. It was pure luck on her end, and she feasted well; she was so full she didn't think she'd have to eat tomorrow! Luckily this also made her look less sickly than usual, though her scerla was still lightly tinted with yellow, and her skin just barely pale. This was also one night where Nosferatu didn't seem to go out at all; she'd stayed near his house for a few hours, and when it became clear he wasn't going to sneak out, she happily strolled away. Well, not just happily...she practically skipped away.
What a lucky, lucky day!
She decided to test her luck and take herself out of town; it was getting boring, seeing the same towns over and over again. She had yet to ride the subway since her 'death', and she felt, in lieu of her good luck, that she deserved to test herself with this interesting treat. She had been wandering the carts to find the least occupied one, but as she wandered something unnerved her. There was this...familiar scent in the air. One that she was sure she didn't like. She stepped through to one cart, and thats when she saw him.
Good day GONE.
She door to the cart was shut instantly and she turned on her heel, heading away from that particular cart, and it's bald occupant, as fast as she could.

He had been sitting there blissfully unaware of this other creature that had made his way toward the car he sat in and would have remained thusly if he hadn't suddenly inhaled a lung full of air and suddenly recognized a scent from a night or so before. Izaak sat a bit straighter for a moment as if he half expected her to walk past him but when she didn't he leaned and peered through his heavily lidded gaze and saw her retreating. Honestly how was he going to get her forgiveness if she kept running away? His night got a lot better, or so he felt.
Redemption would soon, hopefully, be at hand. For some reason he couldn't stand for her not to forgive him. Maybe because she was so cool toward him and it just made it that much more of a need for him. Izaak wanted to expose her soft squishy center and he wanted to poke at it and possibly befriend her, just because he could and because he always liked making friends. He was certain of this soft squishy center because she spent so much time protecting a young child from his predation and so naturally to save a child from being eaten that meant she had kindness somewhere within that cold, cold exterior.
Izaak stood up and went striding after her, "Hey!"

Her frame jolted when he called after her. Crap, he caught on! Whattodowhattodo?! Instinct had her stop, but she straightened up and looked over her shoulder as if it were only natural. Instead of the curious gaze she should have donned, that anyone ELSE would have donned, her expression was rock solid; she didn't want to talk to him, and she wasn't going to let him talk to her, either. It was a cold 'get the ******** away from me' stare, and with a light and haughty tilt of her head and turned again, continuing to walk quickly away from him.
Of course, it was then she came across a nearly empty car, one that had only four other people. She hadn't come this way when she first got onto the train, and now she was regretting it. It was also a fact she didn't want to think about, but eventually he'd have her cornered in the last cart until the next stop, and if there was one thing she wouldn't like even more than talking to him, it would be to be cornered by him.
Might as well work on her own terms! Without looking behind her to see where he was, She turned and sat herself down beside the car's doors, her arms folding under her chest and her legs crossing almost professionally. Her posture was perfect, and she still had that sour look on her face. Apparently resentment changed her from the awkward, unsure and painfully lonely aura she usually gave off.
Yes, her perfect night was most definitely gone.

He wandered after her like a very bald duckling with a calm expression that was unwavering even as she turned and glared at him. It was she was actually giving him entirely different signals or he refused to read her cold body language in favor of his own agenda. How selfish indeed. After she had sat down he appeared again and it took him only a moment to spot her, move over toward her and sit but, at least, he respected her personal space giving her a good few inches of space between them as he resettled his back across his lap.
Honestly if she was so adamantly against being his friend? He'd take forgiveness. All Izaak wanted to hear from her, for some reason, was that she had forgiven him for his transgressions the other night. He wasn't in his right mind; he'd have forgiven her if the shoe was on the other foot and hell she didn't even have to mean it.
Not that he'd tell her that or he might, it depended on how far downhill this little encounter went. Thus far it was going downhill at a breakneck speed and he couldn't just find it in himself to stop.
"I know I was a less than perfect gentleman the other night but I really am sorry," Izaak said to her earnestly. Anyone standing nearby would almost read into this exchange as a prior date gone horribly wrong, it was everything but.

Of course he'd sit next to her. Really, Had she expected anything different? Nope. She closed her red eyes with a heavy sigh, still looking quite annoyed that he'd even bothered to trail after her, much less talked to her. He spoke to her, and she noted the earnest tone to his voice...but it didn't ease her dislike. Sighing animatedly she uncrossed her legs and unfolded her arms, very minutely turning her body to face him. "Listen, and I'm only going to say this once." With that she lifted her hands, pressing her thumbs and index fingers together and fanning out the remaining three fingers. "I. Don't. Care." As she spoke her hands moved, first moving away from one another, then up into the air, and finally back down in a swoop, much like a musical composer.
"You found someone else in the end." Her hands dropped and her palms clapped against her legs, and she twisted to sit properly in the seat, staring ahead of her. "My boy forgave you, isn't that enough?" Certainly not making their exchange any more innocent to the ears of the eavesdroppers, Sally couldn't help but stake her claim over Nosferatu. The bat boy bothered her and pestered her, but she found him amusing, and she couldn't stop wanting to protect him.

He paid particular attention to her hand as she counted off the points of her lack of care to him as if it made it easier for him to digest in his sluggish mind, even his lips parted in 'awe' as if amazed as his eyes didn't show much expression due to the fact that they always seemed closed. Either he was mocking her or he was truly considering the points as they were coming across and taking them in. His head appeared to follow the swoop of the hands as if mesmerized, again possibly mocking her, or not. It was incredibly hard to tell with him. Izaak straightened his posture after a moment and cleared his throat as his face resumed its calm composure, lips no longer parted. He didn't look at her as she continued on in her speech and his brow furrowed and his lips pulled down at the corners in a slight frown.
Izaak cleared his throat again, "It is all well and good but he doesn't speak for you. I didn't mean to intrude upon you and your boy. I want both of your forgiveness. I have his now I want yours." He certainly didn't think that this was a major demand. He tilted his head down a bit, okay maybe he was asking a bit much out of her but still he couldn't really seem to 'move on'. Even though she had given him 'closure' by denying him his forgiveness it still haunted him.
"You don't even have to mean it," he said finally.

Sally couldn't tell if he was mocking her or if he was actually getting it. Really? All it did was to make her more angry. A low growl left her lips, and her arms crossed once more, sitting strangely straight in her seat. She couldn't place it exactly, but she just couldn't stand this man; whether it was her strange protectiveness over Nosferatu, or it was the way he'd responded to her...she just knew she couldn't give him the closure she wanted. He bothered her.
"I don't see why this has anything to do with me. I wouldn't have been the one you hurt." She pointed out, lifting a single finger to point at herself, despite keeping her arms relatively folded against herself. The train's mechanical voice announced their arrival at the next station, and Sally instantly moved to stand. Perfect. A get away. Another acidic glare was fixed on him when he told her that she didn't have to mean it, and her lip curled in distaste. "I never give empty words of forgiveness." She growled at him, before turning to attempt to exit the train.

He ran his hands over his bald head in gesture that almost read as his own frustration boiling up to the surface or he was brushing off an errant gust of wind that played across his scalp oddly. Either way his lips skewed oddly for a moment as if in consternation as he murmured, almost sulkily and with some guilt, "You don't know that!" he insisted and let his hand fall back to his lap. His ears twitched visibly at the sound of the mechanical voice and then Izaak gazed at her as she suddenly stood and glared at him and said those words.
Izaak let out a sad whine as his brow furrowed more which made his face look saddened and pained, "I...I'll just follow you until the ends of the earth then!" he insisted as he snapped to a stand of his own as he made this vow. "I..I'll follow you and if I'm going to follow you then you have to mean it when you finally say you forgive me!" his voice raised a couple of octaves in show of his determination as his messenger bag fell firmly to his side again. Izaak hated that he was so hung up on the fact that he needed to hear her say these things and that she basically seemed to make him like a slave. It was irritating to him!
Why did he care? He didn't know he just did.
Also? He didn't care that he was raising a fuss in the car and thus adding public embarrassment to his list of crimes but he didn't want forgiveness for that. Izaak didn't care if she was socially embarrassed by his needs and desires.

No, she knew that. Because while he was busy with Nosferatu, she would have ran. Ran to avoid responsibility. No, if this man had gotten his hands on the bat boy, there would only be the one person he was hurting. Sally scowled at the thought, keeping her glare on him.
"That's stupid." The woman said with a dismissing wave. He wasn't embarrassing her in the least, all he was doing was shooting at himself. Still, it kind of amused her that he declared this vow in front of the dazed people on the train. "Be prepared for an eternity of disappointment." She told him seriously, dragging her gaze away from him and to the doors once they opened. Stepping through them, she walked onto the platform and headed away from the train.
"Because I'll never say it."

He stood there staring after her panting a bit after his rather passionate declaration and then he gazed at the people around them afterwards with his heavy lidded gaze. There was a small smack of a hand against his forehead once he realized how his words sounded; he really needed to lay off the drama shows and such. He was starting to sound like one of those school girls trying to prove her love to an uncaring upperclassman. Damn it all. He didn't feel embarrassed really just annoyed, for the most part as he ambled after the unforgiving vampiress with a bit groan, "Then be prepared for an eternity of me at your side because, damn it, I'm not giving up," he informed her stubbornly while he tried to pull back some of his passion so he didn't sound anymore like some sort of schoolgirl aching for the love of her upperclassman.
"You'd save us both a lot of trouble if you just said you forgive me," he said matter-of-factly as he trotted after her in order to keep up with her.

She said nothing in regards to his little returned threat; and yes that what it was to her ears, a threat. She continued to head away from the train and it's confused inhabitants. What had they just witnessed? A Date gone bad? Did he cheat? A Divorce?! There was a child involved! Oh boy! A couple of them had their phones out, texting about the supposed Drama they'd witnessed.
Sally was blissfully unaware of this however, as she had more pressing matters; like the creature trotting after her. Crap, she'd have to lose him before the sun came up; she sure as hell wasn't going to lead him right to her home, and she didn't want to die because of this jerk. Ugh. Why did she do this to herself?! Sighing in exhaustion, she glared at him over her shoulder.
"I already told you, I don't give empty words of forgiveness." Sally reminded him like he was stupid, and making no attempt to reign in that particular tone of voice. "And you'd save me a lot of trouble if you'd just go away." She informed him as equally matter-of-factly as he had informed her, heading up to the street level now.

Not that he cared a great deal what the people thought they witnessed and to be honest it confused him a bit, too. He followed after her even as she glared back at him. Izaak simply gave her his usual calm and benign expression in return for her thoughtful gift of a glare. He'll treasure that gift always. The bald man tucked his hands into his pockets as he toddled after her as he listened to her words his brow arched as he listened to her.
"It wouldn't be empty to me," he retorted airily, "and you know I won't go away any time soon, at least not until I have to because rest is needed or whatever but I'll always come back," Izaak said in a tone that almost seemed ominous to someone like Sally who would likely value his presence much more if it wasn't there at all. He trailed after her quietly with a bit of a sigh as he remembered that he didn't know her name and she didn't know his, perhaps now was a time to remedy this. Not that she'd likely use his name without it sounding like an insult.
"I'm Izaak," he said to her as he lent her a name for her tormentor other than the inventive ones she'd no doubt come up with much later as their 'special friendship' progressed.

"But it would be empty to me." Sally shot back angrily. She never gave apologies or forgiveness without meaning it; at least not that she could remember. "You wouldn't have hurt me and you got your forgiveness from the only person who mattered." The woman was scowling as she walked, heading no where in particular, except away from him. "So I don't see why you want me to forgive you in the first place." When he practically threatened her, she snorted unhappily; as long as he never found out where she lived, she was safe...right? The only way he found her now was because she got on that stupid train. Another glare was cast over her shoulder at him when she was told his name.
"That's nice." The woman spat out in disinteret, looking away again and taking a sharp turn down a different street. Geez, it would be so much easier to lose someone if it wasn't two in the morning! There were no crowds at two in the morning. "Don't you have someone else to annoy?!"

Why did it matter to him that she forgave him or not? He continued to move after her but his pace slowed a good deal as he wrestled with the quandary that was tossed at him from almost nowhere. It wasn't one that he bothered himself with since that night. Izaak just knew that he wanted her to forgive him, too. What did he do to her? "W..Well I invaded your space," which was true he had invaded her space where she was either hanging out or operating at the time. The whole pointing out that there was no reason behind his need seemed to twist something horrible in his mind as he continued to trot after her again with no intention of having her lost from his sight or scent. He uttered a small frustrated sigh, "It doesn't matter why I .. I just need it," he said his tone raising a small octave.
Izaak noted she did not give her name in return but in honesty he would have been more surprised if she had given him a name to call her by. He'll just have to come up with something for her later. "Not tonight," he retorted quietly with a small grin, "you're the only one."
