How many of you understand or think you understand it? Plus do you think the Pyro will muffle in the entire 'Meet The' video? That'd be funny but I wouldn't understand any of it sweatdrop
On another note I'm more excited about Meet The Medic is that weird? I just don't want to get my hopes up about the Pyro one, or have any preconceived notions. I don't want to feel bummed. I doubt that's possible though since Valve is awesome, and so is TF2 and their 'Meet The' videos <3
Anyway just thought since there is lots of stuff about Spies that the most mysterious TF2 character deserves some chat.

I think I understand a good amount of it...
If you go to the TF2Wiki, they have sound clips for things the pyro says and possible translations.
I think Pyro sounds cute when it's all muffled like :3
ANYWAYS, I want more "Meet the" videos D:

I understand him just fine, he says:
"Im a b***h, I spray and pray, I like to run in circles around dispensers, teleporters, and sentries, for long periods of time to make me feel like I'm helping. There is no strategy in spy checking, I immediately shoot any teammate I see. To help prove that I am a b***h, VALVe put as a hint: 'As a Pyro you can light your enemies on fire and retreat.' I mostly only like to run around in close quarters kind of maps, it makes it easier for me to camp. I'm so happy people who can not aim use me. It shows that they have no skill. Although I am an offense class, I am nothing but a suicide bomber, I catch people on fire and die, I get mostly assist kills. At least the medic and engineer help the team more. I hide my face under this mask because I am just as ugly as the people who play as me. *Sigh* "

I follow three single points when playing Pyro:
a) LIFE IS SHORT
b) BURN THEM ALL
c) PARTY HARD
Allow me to explain:
a) LIFE IS SHORT. Pyros have short range. This puts them at a extreme disadvantage to the other classes, who have enough killing power from afar. It doesn't hurt to be cautious, but sometimes the only way to tip the balance of the game is to suicidally go out and...
b) BURN THEM ALL. Learn to use your Flare Gun. It's the Pyro's ONLY way to BURN from AFAR, and it works wonders in open spaces. Otherwise, hide in nooks and caves. Stalk corridors. When you see something flammable, then just BURN BURN BURN.
c) PARTY HARD. HUDDA HUDDA HUH!

Isaol, you need to calm down. Your silly rants on how much you hate the Pyro is getting irritating. :3 If you're a good Pyro (most likely not you), you would try to find an alternate pass and get behind the enemy. If you're SMART with any other class, you'll know when and how to avoid the enemy Pyro...or just kill it. It's simple as can be. Think outside the box for once.
On to the topic, I believe I can hear what the Pyro is saying...most of the time. I believe SHE is a girl. Hints have already been spread out. Have you seen her loser animation stance? She's either a girl...or a gay guy. One of the other. I'd like to believe she's Spanish~
Also, I usually light people on fire from behind and Axtinguish them. Works with Heavies as long as they don't see you.

Is there something I missed, if I may ask, where did the Spanish idea come from? I get the girl/gay thing but Spanish? It seems random to me, but I think it'd be cool.
Oh and yeah, I know they have translation things but without them I wouldn't know anything the Pyro says. You know I think they'll end the video with Pyro about to take off his mask and it gets cut off or something teasing like that.
Also do you guys really think the other characters don't know what Pyro looks like? Just curious.
Also isn't the Spy and Pyro voiced by the same person? If its a girl you think they'll get another voice actor?

Hey, has anyone even been wondering what nationality the Pyro even is? Look, he's either ASIAN or some type of Spanish. You'll never really know. I also do believe that the team does not know what he really looks like. Listen to the domination lines. You mushed mouth freak! Muffles! Etc... They all think he/she's some sort of monster because, well... they don't know what he/she looks like.
Still...could be a homosexual Pyro...

I haven't played TF2 in forever... x.x Ugh, I really need to get back into the game. I need to buy it again, though. DD:
But, I stand by my original belief that Pyro is indeed female. There's tons of hints pointing in that direction.
I mean, there is a purse in her locker, right? o: And like what was said earlier, the defeated stance is definitely feminine. Also, I want to say its the Spy that has that one response when he's domineering over Pyro. "Good lord! You fight like a woman!"
Plus, in that one interview with Robin Walker, one of the major devs of TF2, he referred to Pyro as being female... "We've never been terribly happy with the Pyro, in particular with her shallower skill curve than other combat classes..."
I'm just hoping she turns out to be bad a** and sexy. wink
As for nationality, I'm not too sure... o: I'm thinking some nationality that is rarely heard of or something. x3 Though, Spanish or Asian would definitely be pretty neat.
