Persona 3 Portable

This week's Famitsu reveals that Persona 3 is moving to the PSP with new features including:

- female route with unique parts, male route will get new additions
- 5 difficulty levels
- manual party control
- new music

News also indicates that the rendering has been updated to the P4 engine's, perhaps the whole game has been since it shows certain Personae in their P4 appearances.

Female character gets a reformed Orpheus, perhaps Eurydice. I'd like to see if they rework the Thanatos and Messiah persona as well.

Also - I said I knew the PSP could pull off P3 or 4, and not only are they doing it, they're making it bigger than the original and FES.

November first is the Japanese release date. It will also release at the same time on PSN as a download as it will in stores on UMD.

The game's supposedly getting a rather big update for the male character as well so people won't feel like they're playing the exact same game all over again.

I thank 4chan for giving some decent info for once, and that you can go here to see some game play videos.

At first I was like

scream thinking the game had been dumbed down since they changed the world exploration. But then I was
biggrin after seeing that the dungeon and battle systems have been unaltered.


The game supports a data install that lets you save the entire game onto your memory card so that you can play it whenever you want.

Igor's new assistant for the female MC has been dubbed Elizabro until a real name is revealed.

I just found out about this yesterday, but I was practically full of glee

Question though:

Does this only work for PSPGo? or does it also work for other PSP consoles (3000, etc)?

This question kept popping from my head cause as far as I heard, PSP Go can't play UMD Disc games, only games in memory. (then, it was said that there will be a UMD released for this game)

Simultaneous UMD and online download release. I think the game is multi-disk though, since Persona 3 FES is a 3.5 gig game and the UMD's cap at 1.9 gigs.

Okaayyy... after a few internet searches... here are the things I found out....

-If one chooses a girl protagonist, the S. Links change, Igor's assistant changes and also the initial Persona (it will look like Orpheus though...)

-The gameplay is changed like Persona 4 giving the Guard function in battle, the ability to control your teammates and navigation system.

-it will be released in November 1 in Japan.

-The P3P only contains "Episode Yourself" gameplay...(The Journey in the US)

-It will have a different soundtrack (I think...)

-And (as said above, thnx for that.) they're releasing a simultaneous UMD and a digital release for PSP consoles, including PSP Go.

...that's it.

In my opinion, this is a lot of changes and they're great. But if I get to play this (even if I am a girl), I would still love Minato (male MC) as my protagonist. I got used to that idea of P3...

The soundtrack is changed when you're MShe, as are the S. Links, namely in that you have the male members of SEES as link options rather than the female members.

only some additions(comparatively) given to the original MC.
