I read this LiveJournal entry about two years ago comparing the Doctor (and all his incarnations) as various chocolates. It was an essay, too.

In Twilight, to humans, vampires smell like freesia (not lilac) and werewolves smell like burning wood. Samantha and Fiona are saying that Timelords smell like vanilla and chocolate.
