Alexandra stared out to sea, seemingly entranced by the large waves crashing about. Her piercingly blue eyes danced over the large blue mass of water before her. The waves receded before crashing against the large vessel and turning to white foam before being washed away by the next wave. A small strip of land grew larger as they came closer and closer to the port town. The strong sea breeze coursed through her long, straight, dark brown hair that was tied back in a red bandana and fell to her hips. She was thinking about their work on land they were about to do, wondering who was going to be going with her. Alex glanced back at her crew as her name was called. Well, technically it wasn’t her crew, being only the second-in-command on the ship, but she always thought of them as hers anyway.

Alex was one of the many in the group about to sneak into the castle to capture the prince. At least they hoped to grab the prince since the princesses were always guarded by some fifty guards and the King and Queen were out of the question for what they wanted out of them. Alex almost wished she were going alone and not with whatever imbeciles decided to tag along.

The 16 year-old may seem young to most, but any that knew her knew she could handle herself. She stood at only 5'3" and had a petite build, but that never stopped her ever-growing reputation as a pirate. Just like her renowned parents, she was growing into a fine pirate. Her right upper ear was pierced with a chain that fell to her chin and had a shark tooth on the end while the rest of her right ear was lined with silver loop earrings and her left had alternating black and red studs.

The large boat docked and tied down. No one was going until their captain or Alex gave the word. It was a large port town with many shady characters all about, so no one paid the pirates any mind since seeing people like them was an everyday event. The scene before them was a beautiful one seen with Victorian houses surrounding the town and a beautifully kept castle at the middle.

Bridget walked slowly along the edge of the castle, her beautiful golden blonde hair falling around her face in gentle curls and dropping down just below her shoulders. Her skin was a pale alabastar, as if it were often untouched by the light of the sun. Her steps were light, but slow as her hunter green skirt drifted and weaved between her legs gracefully. Bridget always enjoyed being outdoors, as her parents never permitted it very often, and never outside the protection of the castle itself. A small crack in the stone caught her foot and sent Bridget flying towards the ground. However, before her body could hit the ground, strong arms wrapped in tought leather armor wrapped around her waist, steadying her. Bridget regained her balance and looked in the direction of the bodyguard who had saved her from a fall, revealing cloudy blue eyes.

"Thank you." She whispered quietly, before turning back around to continue on her walk. She didn't hear a response from the man, but the steps behind her were constant and steady, never more than two steps behind in case she happen to bump into any more unfortunate bumps in the road that her blind eyes could not forsee. It was this blindness that had caused her parents, the King and Queen, to keep her secluded away within the palace. And because not many people knew of her existance, she only had one bodyguard. His name was Jonathon Masbury. He had been her constant companion since she had lost her eyesight at the age of six. Sometimes, she wished that she could leave the palace, but she knew that such a dream was foolish, so she often tried to banish these thoughts when the arose. Most of the time, Bridget just tried to enjoy the smell of the flowers in the garden, and the light breeze that drifted over her skin for as long as she was able to and then allowed herself to be closed up within her suite in the castle once again.

Bridget stopped in the center of the garden and listened to the sounds of the night life that floated over the castle walls. Sometimes she still found herself wishing.
