About Painted Bats
As is customary every fall, taurs from all over safely capture bats and paint them. Don't worry, the paint wears off and it's non-toxic! Though, it's hard to tell with the crazier bats.
Every year, thousands of the naturally white bats of Cein Isles are caught, painted (with strong, but safe food dye) and then released back into the night sky. This tradition is especially enjoyed by children, but is freely enjoyed by older taur too! Some bats are even raised as pets and familiars by enthusiasts and sold during the festivities.

Step 1 - Choose the lineart.

Step 2 - Find the right box. We pre-colored and pre-certed all the bat boxes so you don't have to. Just add your name and info and it's good to go! When adding your name please make sure the font/color you choose is legible! You may want to write down the name of the font so you can use it again later!

Step 3 - Color your bat! You have 100% artistic licence! Our only request is that you don't edit the lineart!
Step 4 - Cert your bat!

When certing your bat please make sure that you don't cover up any of the text!
Step 5 - Upload your bat to your server and show it off in your taur journal or your signature!

A: Yes, but please limit carbon copy bats to three copies!
Q: Can my bat be a familiar for my taur?
A: As of September 2011, ALL painted bats (including the clones!) may be kept as pets or familiars. All we ask is that you credit us, the original artist, and this page when posting them in your journals so that others may have access to one.
Q: Can I steal the lineart? Can I color bats and sell them?
A: NO! If you are caught doing either of these things you will be INSTANTLY banned from Cein Isles and reported.
