(So here I go... >.<) * means to be continued shortly

The trees swayed in the wind. The breeze was gentle and cooling, with a small scent of barbecued meat. Sitting in the backyard of the small home was a boy who was about to go on the adventure of a lifetime...

"5:21..." He muttered, letting his arm fall back down to his side. He put his thumbs in his front pockets as he waited eagerly. The anticipation was killing him. "Where is he?..." He grumbled as he started to make his way to the tree house impatiently. Then he heard a small rustle in the bushes to his right.

"Luke?... Luke is that you in there?" He asked, getting closer. He kept his hands out in front of him just to be prepared of what might be rustling the bush. Slowly, he reached a hand out to the bush to part the leaves when someone jumped out and tackled him.

"Oh my god! You scared the s**t out of me!" He yelled, laughing a little bit. The boy who jumped out sat on top of him. "What took you so long, Lukey?"

"Eh, I had to sneak out since my dad was in the living room with his girlfriend." Luke said with a smile. "I missed you today! I hate this Deven... Why can't you just not work? You should baby sit again!"

"Haha, I could, but I need a more frequent way to get money. Sorry bub." Deven said as he scooted Luke off of him. They both stood up and stared at the tree house.

"So... Whats in there?" Luke asked. He nervously moved closer to Deven.

"I have no idea... We never went inside since we've been here." Deven said as he walked closer. That's when his pocket started to vibrate. With a sigh, he reached in and pulled it out to see a text from Mary. 'DONT GO IN WITHOUT US', it said. He laughed a little to himself as he smiled to Luke.

"Well we have to wait for a few minutes bud, everyone else wants to be here for when we open it up." Deven said as Luke smiled with a nod.

"It's okay Devvy." Luke said with a yawn and a stretch. Deven used the moment to jab him in the stomach with his finger. After a small laugh, he continued to poke Luke, and tickled him. "Deven! Stop!!! Stop now!!!" He laughed on the ground with Deven beside him.

"What else am I gonna do for fun?" He said with a smile as he sat there beside Luke. Luke sat up with him and rested his head on Deven's shoulder.

"It's such a nice night, isn't it?" He asked with a sigh. Deven nodded and rested his head on Luke's. They sat there for a few moments, taking in the night.

Within six minutes three people came around the corner to the two boys. Two girls stood next to each other and another boy stood a little farther away. "Guys, were here." One of the girls said. Her eyes looked up to the tree house.

"Oh hey Ashley!" Deven said with a smile as he got up. He didn't notice the frown Luke gave him. He ran up to everybody and group hugged them with a smile. "Glad your here! Now we can finally go up." He said with a laugh. Everyone smiled as they all started walking. "Luke, want a hand up?"

"Oh... Sure." He said apathetically as he took Deven's hand and got to his feet. He held on for longer, hoping Deven wouldn't notice. They walked together to the tree house and the small group looked up to stare in wonder.

"What do you thinks in there?" Ashley asked.

"I bet you theres a whole bunch of slaughtered people in there." Jay said; He was the boy who walked over with the girls.

"Hahaha... It doesn't even smell like death." Mary said; She was the other girl who walked over.

"Devvy, you have the key right?" Luke asked, letting go of his hand. Deven shook his head with a small smirk.

"I have something better." He said as he walked around the tree to the back, coming back to the group with a crowbar.

"Sweet!" Ashley said with a laugh as she moved out of the way. Deven started climbing the wooden ladder with the crowbar on his back. When he reached the top he pulled the crowbar out and hooked it in place. With an effort, he broke the lock on the trap door and pushed it open.

"Want a light?" Jay asked, pulling out a lighter.

"Jay! What are you doing with a lighter!" Luke gasped in astonishment. Jay laughed a little.

"Found it on the streets. Still has some fuel left so I'm gonna use it." He said as he started climbing up the ladder after Deven.

"Guys, its so weird in here!" Deven yelled from inside. Everyone looked at each other and started scrambling up the ladder. When everyone was inside, the lock that Deven broke started to glow.

"Dude... It's just a small room with weird writing... Why would anyone keep this locked up?" Jay asked, looking over the marks on the walls. Mary and Ashley shrugged as Deven brushed his fingers along the wall.

"No clue... But it's so neat. Kinda magic looking." He said with a laugh, and everyone joined in. He couldn't stop molesting the wall. Suddenly there was a loud clink noise, and the sound of a lock being shut. The kids all looked at each other and went to the trapdoor to see it close itself.

"What the s**t?" Jay said, stomping on the door.

"Be careful Jay! You might fall through if it opens up!" Mary said, hoping to make him stop. Everyone else looked around inside, noticing they were trapped.

"Mary, he has a good idea... If we dont break that door open then were trapped in here." Luke said, going to the wall without writing on it and leaning against it. Deven looked around, trying to contemplate a plan.

"Here Jay, try this." He said, giving him the crowbar. Jay smirked and started to pry at the edges. Unfortunately the door didn't budge.

"What the ********!" Ashley yelled in frustration as she tried to help him. Together they pushed down on the bar to try and break the door. Again, it didn't work.

"We're trapped in here guys... No wonder why it was locked..." Luke said glumly. He sat on the ground and curled into a ball. Mary frowned and sat next to him.

"You guys! We could use some help you know..." Jay said angrily. He was starting to jump on the trapdoor hoping it would break under the force. Ashley joined in, bashing the end of the crow bar on the door.

"I'm sorry guys... This is my fault... You know, for bringing you all up here..." Deven said, leaning against the wall with the writing. He started to knock his head on the boards in frustration.

"It's fine, just help us open the god damn door!" Ashley said as she jumped on the door harder. She and Jay planned there jumps to make the force even harder. Somehow, the door didn't break.

"Ugh... I wish we could just escape..." Deven muttered as he heard a click behind him. The wall behind him gave way, and he fell backwards into darkness. In a desperate attempt, he grabbed onto the floor of the tree house. "What the ********!" He yelled, trying to scramble is way up.

"Deven?!" He couldn't figure out who said it, but it seemed like they all came to try and help him. Luke's hand grabbed onto Deven's and everyone grabbed onto Luke.

"You have to let go! Otherwise we can't pull you up!" He said, holding onto Deven tightly.

"Are you ******** crazy! I'm not letting go!" Deven said, feeling something grab his leg. What ever it was started to tug on his leg. "Guys! Somethings got me!" He yelled nervously to them. Mary let go to look over the edge to see what it was.

"I can't see anything.." She said as she leaned over the edge a little. She was on her hands and knees, trying to be careful. That's when Deven heard a strange, muttered voice. "I don't think anythings down there, Deven." She said nervously.

"Well Deven's getting heavier for some reason!" Luke grunted as he started to move closer to the edge. The force pulling on Deven tugged again, but harsher. The small group holding onto his hand fell onto there stomachs.

"Deven! Hold on!" Ashley yelled as she picked up the crow bar and moved over to the ledge, standing near it. Deven heard the voice again, but this time he could understand it.

"I only wanted the one... But if you all have to try and stop me, fine. Have a taste of failure..." It said as Devin was tugged harder.

"Luke! Let go! Just let me fall!" Deven yelled up to him, seeing that he was about a third of the way to fall off too.

"No! I'm not letting go!" He yelled at him. Deven smiled a little, and started to flail to maybe kick off whatever had him. That's when he could feel something wrong. He looked around in the darkness to try and see what it was, but he could hear something around him.

The shadows in the darkness grabbed onto Mary's arm from the ledge, and pulled her forward. She lost balance, and shrieked as she fell forward into the darkness, and disappeared from sight. Then he could see the darkness coming forming around Jay's ankles.

"Jay! Watch out!" Deven yelled as the shadows pulled on his legs. He fell backwards and yelled as he dug his nails into the wood to try and stop from being pulled in. With a loud yell, he was pulled into the darkness and down just like Mary. Ashley was gripping the metal tool in anger.

"Haha... ******** this..." She yelled as she jumped from the tree house and into the darkness, bringing the crow bar down in hopes of hitting something. Deven looked up at Luke in fear.

"Luke..." He whispered up to him. Luke frowned and started to cry. He was getting closer to the edge. He was trying his hardest to keep Deven up. The darkness around Deven started to cover him, wrapping him in a sort of cocoon. Soon he was completely covered in shadows, and they traveled up Luke's arm. With closed eyes, Luke pushed forward into the darkness, falling in with the rest of them. The wooden wall formed back onto the tree house and resumed to look normal, like nothing had ever happened. *

The sound of a scream woke Deven up from the cold stone floor he was on. He could smell hay and sweat all around him. Looking around, he figured he was in some kind of jail. A big metal door of cast iron stood in front of him. Instinctively, he got up slowly and walked towards the door. Peering through, he tried to look around to see where exactly he was. Thats when a man with pointy ears walked by and slammed a club against the door. Startled, Deven fell back.

"Damn humans... Don't know what master sees in you..." He said in a bitter tone. He continued walking further down the hall, banging his club on more gates. Thinking about what to do, Deven turned around and looked for a window of some sort. He found one higher up and took the stool that was put in his cell to look out of it. His eyes grew wide in horror.

"We're definitely not in Kansas anymore..." ...

The four other kids lay among a feild in the center of a small meadow. Jay was the first one to start moving around and waking up. Suddenly, he let out a terrified scream that woke everyone else up. They all looked to him nervously.

"Jay?! What's wrong?" Ashley asked, feeling around for the crowbar she had grown so fond of.

"I'm... BLUE!" He said, screaming again. The kids all looked him over and finally noticed he was, legit, blue. His skin was no longer the tan color that it used to be. Now he had pointy ears, blue skin, and red eyes.

"Wow... Umm... It doesn't look that bad." Mary said, trying to reassure him. He glared at her.

"Really? Cause y'know, I thought I'm supposed to be normal colored, not the color of a freaking Crayola crayon!" He yelled again, starting to throw a tantrum. Ashley got up to confort him and to try to get him to calm down. Ashley did the same when she noticed something weird.

"Why do I feel... Shorter?" She asked, looking at them. She was normally the same height as them, but now she felt like she could barely rest her head on their shoulders.

"I don't know. I just don't want to be blue!" Jay yelled as Ashley laughed a little. He glared at her now.

"Jay, it's not that bad. Just relax." Ashley said, kind of happy being normal.

"Hey... Where's Deven?" Luke asked, getting up. He stretched and the other three looked at him in amazement. He finally noticed and looked at them confused. "What... Is there somthing on me?" He asked feeling around. That's when he noticed.

"Your so freaking adorable!" Mary yelled as she rushed over to touch the cat-like ears on his head. He felt them and laughed.

"Why do I have cat ears?" He asked as Ashley pulled his tail gently. "Ow! Hey that hurts...? Oh my god I'm like a kitty!" He said happily. Jay scoffed.

"Yeah, and I'm the color of a newt... Big whoop." He said angrily. Everyone laughed a little. "Why are you laughing at my misery! It's not funny!"

"No, but your just funny when your angry." Ashley said giving him a hug. Mary and Luke nodded as they also gave him one. After the reassurance of their new appearances, they finally looked around.

"Do you think... He went out to go find something?" Jay asked. Ashley shrugged.

"Maybe... I don't know..." Mary said with a disappointed face.

"I think something bad happened to him..." Luke said as he started walking forwards into the forest. The others looked at him, then each other. With a shrug, they followed him, wondering what he thought had happened...

Deven shuddered as he heard more screams of pain and agony. The guards kept walking back and forth in front of his cell door, like he was going to escape or something. He sighed and looked back out the window.

"Where are you guys?" He asked, feeling like he would never get out of that cell. He suddenly felt something grab him from behind, and grabbed onto the bars of the window to keep from getting pulled away. "Let go! Don't touch me!" He yelled and flailed, but the assailant over powered him. He was held over someones shoulder, being carried away from the cell.

"Put me down! Let go!" He yelled, pounding on the guys back. It hurt Deven more then it did the guy. The dude had a back like a brick wall.

"Be quiet!" The man yelled, throwing Deven on the floor. Deven looked up at him nervously, scared of what was going to happen. "The master needs to see you and... For your position and mine... It would be best if you complied..." He growled at Deven.

"Fine..." Deven said, feeling helpless in this situation. The man held out a hand for him to take and helped him up. Then he grabbed onto Deven's wrist and walked him through tunnels and corridors to a giant main room.

"Wow... It's so amazing..." Deven said, taking in the extravagance of the room. The man looked to Deven and then back ahead of him, still walking.

"This is the masters throne room." He said, tugging on Deven's arm to keep him moving also. He brought him to a giant staircase that spiraled near the top. Deven looked at it horrified, but followed the man who was dragging him.

"What does he want with me?" Deven asked, feeling nervous again.

"Hmm?" The man said, confused a little. Deven looked at him, following up still.

"Why does he want me there? Why does he want me here?"

"Oh... He has experiments to conduct, and judging from what he's discovered, you'll be the best subject for him to work on."

"What?!" Deven yelled, pulling his wrist away. "I am NOT going to be someones test rat!" He yelled, as he backed down the stairs. The man sighed and shook his head.

"You can either do as he says... Or I can just kill you right now." The man said. Deven laughed angrily.

"Like threatening me is going to make me go through with this? Wow, you people here are so ******** up!" He yelled as he started to run down the stairs. Thats when he a small whistle noise, and something plunge into his neck. Deven felt feeble for a second, and then he collapsed on the stairs, rolling down them. As he hit the floor, he realized he couldn't move.

"What did you do to me?" Deven asked weakly. The man walked down the stairs and picked him up again.

"Don't make me silence you too..." The man said numbly. He started walking up the stairs again.

"Ugh... What ever..." Deven muttered as he unwillingly let himself be carried up the stairs. When the man reached the top with Deven, he put him down and pulled the dart out from his neck. The feeling of his body came back to him, and he was pretty happy with that.*
