And our battlefield is...
Forest Field
Thick trees sprout at random places throughout the field, some small while others seem to reach out and touch the ceiling of the stadium. As with ancient trees, some roots are seen being thrust above the ground which makes easy for a pokemon to trip if they do not watch where they are going. Spacing between the trunks vary, making passage difficult for those on the ground and in the air. The ground is littered with piles of pine needles, leaves, and sticks of all sizes; several tree trunks and rotting logs can be found scattered around as well.
This field gives a 25 HP attack boost to BUG type attacks.This field also reduces damage from FLYING type attacks by 25 HP.

Branimir and Raina entered the stadium for what seemed like the millionth time recently and headed for the trainer podium. Once there Raina pressed the red button that would choose their field and watched as it landed on forest. "Huh... that's a new one... good luck maneuvering in there buddy." she said as she patted Branimir's side before sending him out amongst the trees. She waited for her opponent to appear while quietly calculating how to approach this battle.

Renekai flounced up into her box with Anima at her side. "Hmm... Forest field, eh? Well, it's not the best field for us, but you should have no problems moving around in there!" She laughed and admired her furret's thin and lithe form.
"Fur!" Anima barked, then climbed down and into her position on the field to sit up and smell the trees. She happily bared her needle-like teeth and waited for the starting signal.

Raina waved at the other trainer when she arrived and then turned all attention to the matter at hand. She knew it would be hard for Branimir to maneuver in the trees but if he lit the trees on fire it would be hard for the furret as well, if she wanted to avoid getting burned.
Branimir had been waiting calmly for Raina to give the starting command and when it reached his ears he reacted immediately. "Branimir, use flamethrower." she called and he was crouched down and unleashing a dangerous stream of flames through the trees towards the furret on the other side.

"Put out those flames with an Aqua Tail!" Renekai commanded, her previous cheeriness suddenly gone. She was all business once the fight began.
Anima sucked in a long breath, watching the pillar of flames come closer and closer. Fearlessly, she whirled around, swinging her blue glowing tail. As her tail met the flames, a wall of water suddenly sprouted from her entire tail, making it look like she had one huge blue tail.
Before she could check if she had done any damage, she had to scurry out of the way, since some embers had fallen on her coat and begun to burn.

Raina watched as the furret used a rather unexpected attack, great, how could she forget that normal pokemon could learn almost every type of attack?
As water landed on Branimir he jumped back and shook it off, waiting for another command.
"Use rock smash!" Raina called out, crossing her fingers and hoping for a good hit.
Branimir heard Raina's command and closed his eyes, focusing before emitting a loud, eerie sounding howl which seemed to raise a large boulder from the ground beneath the field and he smashed it with his large paw sending shards flying every which way, quite a few larger ones headed towards the opponent.

Anima yipped in pain as several rocks crashed into her. She managed to roll out of the way of the last ones, but the bruises were still there as proof of her injury.
"Hang in there, Anima!" Renekai called down in concern. "Aqua Tail!"

Raina cringed as another torrent of water crashed down on Branimir and his fur flattened out making him look rather pitiful. She watched as he shook off as much of the water as he could and then he turned his focus back on the opponent. "Branimir use Thunder Fang and buy us some time!" she called to him.
Branimir was already focused on his opponent so as soon as he heard Raina's command he rushed forward, nimbly dodging through the trees, which made Raina question just where he had learned to be so graceful, his fangs were crackling with electricity as he bit down on what he hoped was the little furret.

Anima froze and slumped on her side, her entire body paralyzed. She squirmed desperately and managed to twitch the tip of her tail. It seemed that the paralysis would not last long.
"Hang in there, Anima..." Renekai murmured.

Raina sighed, that wasn't what she'd been hoping for but she couldn't give up now. "Try Flamethrower again Branimir, this time make it last!" she called.
Upon hearing his trainer's command the large Arcanine took a step back from his opponent before unleashing another stream of flames.

"Aqua Tail!" Renekai shouted.
Anima whined sharply as she was burned, but it wasn't too bad. She swung her tail around again for a powerful water attack. She was beginning to think that it wasn't much fun battling an arcanine.

Raina nodded as the flames burned the furret, ok that's something at least. But as the little pokemon retaliated Raina cringed, all this water was definately going to be taking it's toll on Branimir.
"Use rock smash!" Raina called as soon as Branimir had recovered from the attack.
Branimir heard the command and was glad to oblige with Raina's wishes. There was nothing he hated more than water. He focused his energy and emitted another howl, raising a boulder from the ground before he smashed it and sent the shards flying once more towards the furret. That should teach it... but probably not.

Anima dodged the rocks, but her burn suddenly pained her. As she stumbled, the rocks rained down on her. Anima curled herself into a ball and waited it out, only getting up when the pain had subsided.
Renekai bit her lip in worry, but there was no need to panic. "Aqua Tail again!"

Raina was dismayed at this point, this battle was looking bad for her and Branimir. But neither was ready to give up just yet. As the torrent of water hit him directly Branimir curled in on himself, sheilding his face from the worst of the attack.
"Use Thunder Fang again!" Raina called and she prayed that this time the effect would last longer. It was their only hope.
Branimir uncurled and launched himself at the furret, his fangs once more crackling with electricity.
