 Phiona stretched, it had been a really long time since she had been on the beach. The last time she had been kidnapped by pirates. That was.. Interesting. But it seems as though she had all but forgotten that event, as horrific as it might have been.
But now, now it was time to play at the beach, quite possibly in the water. It seemed a good deal ore fun in the water right now, it was a nice wavy day and better yet she didn't have to worry about those nasty pirates. Even if they wouldn't let her keep that cool hat.. No matter, she wanted to try something new, or build a sand castle... Ooo, sand castle.. That was a good idea. Fi giggled, deciding on sand castle, right next to those cool looking things sticking out of the sand. Whatever they were she liked them, they were very pretty.

 Hula Bob walked out of the water carring his board. It was a nice day for surfing. The waves were right, the water was nice and their wasn't a cloud in the sky. Upon reaching the sand he saw an odd girl. He had never seen a faun before but he liked the way she was dressed. So fitting for the beach.
"Aloha!" The demon called to her.

She giggled, looking up at Hula Bob. He looked cool. "Hi!" She waved, starting to get up, brushing off her knees. Her hooves were hidden in the sand at the moment, for all Bob could see aside from her strange horns and lack of wings she could be just like him. Not that that was ever possible.
The faun stretched her arms, walking over to the red male. He was tall. Fi's eyes went wide looking up at him. Not only was he tall but he was cool looking too! And he had one of those pretty board things! That was awesome! "What is that thing?" She asked, amazed, meaning his surf board.

"I'm Hula Bob. This? Ah, this is my totally awesome surf board. Do you like to surf?" He then could see more of her and knew he hadn't seen her kind before. Still, he didn't like to leave his beach, even the new one, so there were bound to be many things he wouldn't have seen. "If you don't know how I can teach ya."

She blinked, looking up at him again. "You can teach me?" Fi giggled, clapping. She quite liked the idea of learning how to use these cool looking things. Something told her she didn't need to use them, but she didn't listen to it. "Where do I get one of them?" Fi tilted her head, not sure if any of the boards she had been near with the sand castle had belonged to someone or not.
Still confused she shrugged, clicking a hoof on a rock as she started to walk towards the vacated boards. The faun giggled, it made a funny sound. Oh how easily distracted she was. But cool looking boards were important right now. Phiona smiled, picking up the green looking one and tucked it under her arm the way Hula Bob was holding his and walked back.

Hula Bob chuckled as she had found one before he could answer. "Awesome. Those are for anyone to use. Sure, I can. What's you're name?" He hadn't heard her say it yet unless he had water in his ears.
Hula Bob then put his board down on the sand. "I always start by saying to tell your board hello. It is nice to get it used to use before we go on." Hula Bob had taught many how to surf. Mostly his family, but not all.

She was glad they were for anyone to use. She didn't want to be labeled a thief cause she had borrowed someones surfboard. "My name... It's Phiona" Fi beamed, "Most people call me Fi though." She giggled, setting the board in the sand as he had done.
"Hi board, you're pretty." She smiled, giggling more. It was silly to talk to the board. While she wasn't used to it, she was going to do what he said, as long as she was told to do it at least. Otherwise she wouldn't do it. She knew it was important to pay attention to those teaching you.

Hula Bob nodded. "Nice to meet you, Fi." He then watched as she did what he said. The adult male nodded as he walked back over to his own board.
"Next you step on top of your board. It is always best to get a feel for it under your feet. Watch my movements and try to do like me." He stood on his board and began to balance with his arms up.

She giggled, "Nice to meet you too~" His name slipped her mind, though she had heard it. Maybe she would remember later? No matter, it wasn't the time to remember names.
Fi blinked, looking at the board.. Wouldn't her hooves scratch it up? "But my hooves will hurt the board!" She exclaimed, worried about the board. After that word though she climbed into it like he had on his, only to tilt her head. This felt really wrong.. Like she could do this without the board... She shook her head, don't listen to that feeling, listen to the teacher! "This feels wrong..." Fi mumbled, looking at Hula Bob.

"There is a coat of wax on it." Hula Bob offered her about her hooves. It might only take some of it off and not scratch too much. Then again he didn't care. The boards were for learning and sometimes they did get hurt. That was a part of learning.
Upon hearing this the male got off his board and walked over to her. "Really? Why does it? The board to big, small or you just can't balance?" Hula Bob didn't want to move on until she was ready and if she couldn't do this then she might not be able to do it at all. Hula Bob knew that could be dangerous.

She tilted her head, wax? That was... Odd.. "Wax?" She blurted out, confused. What was the wax for? Whatever, shiny. Shiny was awesome, ad very distracting. Fi shook her head, looking back at Hula Bob.
"Like I should be on the water learning this not the land" Oddly enough, it was exactly what she meant. That was a once in a lifetime statement from Fi. "Can we try the water?" The faun asked, wondering if that feeling was right or if she was just crazy.

Hula Bob scratched his head and looked at the girl before looking at the water. "Well, I like to do this first, then shallows followed by the real waves. This way you can get used to it." Still, maybe she had done this already and was just humering him. Or better yet he found a born natural.
The male shrugged and picked his board. He set it in the shallows and then stood. "So, my important thing is to keep balance. Once you get that all the rest is awesome!"

Somehow this all still seemed pretty familiar.. Fi shook her head, attempting to shake off the feeling. She was grateful that he was letting her try the shallows, but taking the board still seemed like it wasn't for her. Phiona stood on the board she had brought with her to the shallows. "Like this? She wobbled a little, but stood on it pretty well.
It wasn't long before she had wobbled off her board, and was on the water wobbling. Well that explained why it felt funny on the board. She hadn't even noticed that she was standing on the water like it was a surfboard. "I'm doing it right right?" The faun giggled, attempting to stand up straighter.

Hula Bob clapped his hands together. He was stunned. A surfer who didn't need a board. The demon had never seen anything like this before. "Totally awesome." He said before he fell from is board into the water.
After a moment he got himself back up. "Shaw, I don't know how to teach someone that can do that. Unless it works the same? That would be gnarly!"

Wait, she wasn't on her surfboard? Almost as if by reaction she fell into the water. While one would think she would have been safe from falling, she was soaked. Like the surf board only worked when she was trying to surf. "Hehe." Fi giggled, looking up at Hula Bob. She was soaked. Not that that bothered her in the least.
The faun laughed now, attempting to stand up. Whatever it was that made her 'surf' the first time was trying to work it's magic again and float her when she stood.
