"Hah." Soleil panted out with a bit of a sigh of relief mixed in, slowing his gallop down to a trot as he caught sight of a small river in the nearing distance. Finally, a drink~ He'd felt the need to stretch his legs earlier that morning, and had just continued to run and run.. and run some more. Lately, the memory of the day his sister, Brioso, had told he and their sister, Thea, of her leaving to hone her skills as a heroine-in-training had been floating about in his head, along with the moment she had taken to tell them of her mentor, Grencia. She had said that he had wings! If he had a pair of wings himself, the little tricks and daredevil stunts he performed to entertain himself could be taken even further than their current limits.
But, alas, he didn't have a set, so he'd have to do with the closest thing to flying or anything aerial: running. The fact that he had nothing else to do back at home didn't really help this situation out either.. Ah well.
Coming up to the water he'd spotted before, Sol' brought his muzzle down to take a drink. He hadn't a clue where he was, but hey! At least he could get something to quench his thirst. "Good thing too. I was parched." He muttered with a quiet 'Ah', giving a dunk of his head into the water and enjoying the slight chill before bringing himself back up with a gasp. "Much better~" He chirped out, his tone almost giddy, shaking his head in an attempt to dry out his curled mane a bit. Pfft. It didn't do much but plaster a few locks across his face. "Bah."

Maharet had gotten even more timid since the attack by her Grandmother, and when she'd gotten back to her home, she'd not left it for a few weeks without being in the company of her mother or her sister Marut.
Today however, she was thirsty and no one was around. She had no idea when her mother would return, and knew her sister was with her mate, so she would have to summon up every ounce of courage she had left and leave the safety of her home by herself. Luckily she knew that she river ran into their territory, so she moved off towards it, her wings fluttering every so often with nervous tremors.
The noise of the moving water reached her first, and soon she'd found her way to the bank, looking around and listening intently before she even dared to lower her head. Her ears pricked up and then swivelled in one direction, eyes widening as she was sure she had some movement. Should she run? Or investigate? If it was her Grandmother again, running would only lead her straight to her home and she would never be safe. She took a few steps downriver, pausing to listen as she went.

Letting out a bit of an annoyed grunt as he looked through his newly given randomly blurred vision, Soleil gave a shake of his head, the result being only a few curled strands falling away. "Aw, c'mon." He muttered with a heavily put out sign, flashing a momentary pout before lowering his head to his front legs. He gave a few lazy swipes at the mane blocking his eyes, getting the majority of it out of the way until he accidentally bumped his knee against an eye. Sol' let a startled meep out, whipping his head upright and blinking his eyes. He.. hadn't been expecting that.
The moment was disrupted, though softly, by the sounds he grew to familiarly know as another Soquili's footsteps. "Mmm?" Soleil let out, ears flicking up in his interest at this hidden thing. What.. or better yet, whom, could it be? Had his sister, Thea, followed him all this way? No, not her. At least, not without him knowing she was around. He racked his mind, trying to think of who this stranger in hiding was. Could it be... Brioso? Had she returned from her training in the mountains with her mentor, Grencia? She must have grown like he and their sibling had, so her scent might have changed as well! It could be her! With a smile pulling it's way over his face, he trotted off farther up the river, his interest peaked. "Hello? Bri-.."
He cut himself off as he came upon Maharet, slowing down and coming to a gentle stop. Sol' had to admit, he was a little bit disappointed to not see that this was not his sister, but an unknown mare. "Oh, why, hello there, miss." He greeted, giving a polite smile to the winged female... Wait, wings?

Maharet stopped in her tracks when she saw the other Soquili, her wide eyes dancing over him, swiftly taking in how he looked, and that he wasn't a Kalona. She still stepped back though, as he'd gotten closer than she would have liked, and he was a stranger.
'Hi..' she managed to say, her hooves almost in the river, and she moved tiny hoof steps forward so that she wasn't falling down the small slope of the river bank. She found him quite interesting to look at though, despite the nerves, and the sound of her thudding heart in her ears. He looked alot like a piece of the night sky fallen to earth.
