Elayi effectively pounced on the troublesome vole, crushing it's skull and neck skillfully. Her first official kill as a member of Acropolis. But not just that, he first kill in a while... Settling down and ripping off chunks of flesh, the lithe little female filled her belly. "Oh-mawh-GAAAWWWSH," The wolfess moaned between bites. It felt so good not to be hungry. She could get used to this. What, with the great lands that Heph had here. She was eternally greatful. But, she couldn't help but feel a little overwhelmed. Heph was warm and strong, and most of all, very, very, kind. And Leto was...well, a little OCD about his fur and a little scary, but great too. But she had no idea what the rest of the pack was like. Were they as welcoming as their Alpha? Maybe she was just worrying too much, like she always did. But she couldn't help but be overly curious, thsi was all so...so new.

She was on the hunt. She wanted to take down a large animal to bring back to the back and show Leto that she was a good hunter, that hunting was not only for males. She snorted in distaste. Just because the males were bigger and stronger did not mean that she could not hunt due to her being a girl. Suddenly, a sharp scent caught her attention. It was the tangy smell of fresh blood. Was someone else on the hunt? But Tawa did not remember this strange scent. Who was this in her alpha's lands?
Her hackles rose and a growl leek from her throat, a gutteral sound. She dropped to her belly and began to stalk forward, her large paws becoming just about silent as she moved. She saw a mass of brown fur from the brush off to the right of where she had picked her trail.
"Who is this?" she grunted. She had never seen this wolf before. It must be an intruder stealing the prey from Heph's land! Fangs flashing, Tawa lunged from the brush and slammed into the female hoping to knock her to her side.
"Who are you?" barked Tawa, shaking the impact from her body.

Elayi yepled as a green female slammed into her. She smelled of Acropolis, and she also didn't smell too happy. Elayi didn't blame her, she would've done the same thing if their places were switched.
Not quite knowing what to do, she rolled onto her back in a sign of submission. "Elayi! My name is Elayi! I'm new here- I mean, Heph let me join- I'm not stealing food or anythin-" She whined and stuttered, nearly cowering under the big female. Elayi just had to be small, didn't she?

Dione was restless. Her son off wandering with Leto, Kiion and Kajahli fishing at the river. She wondered briefly how Athena was doing, but those thoughts didn't last long. Her only daughter had tried to kill her beloved son, and that was something the queen of the former Pantheon pack would -not- tolerate.
Snorting to herself, the lithe white femme wandered her family's lands, wondering where all of her angst was coming from. It was unusual for her, and made her irritable on top of it. And hungry.
Sniffing the ground as she walked, she found the recent scent of a rabbit and honed in on it, her years of experience as a hunter proving too much for the rabbit to avoid. But still it tried to flee as she pounced, putting up a courageous try. Stretching her body into a long, distance eating run, she came within a claw's distance of it, ready to snap it up into her jaws, when she heard a familiar, unhappy bark. It distracted her for only a moment, and then she lunged, taking the rabbit by the throat. A bit of pressure and she snapped its neck, not wanting it to suffer.
Meal in fang, she turned back towards the sound of the bark, up a small hill. Looking down the other side, she discovered Tawa and a wolf she didn't know. One that apparently Tawa didn't know either. Tail and hackles raised, Dione descended the rise, growling. Although she no longer ruled as alpha, she was still matriarch of this land and she dropped her meal to speak.
"Tawariel, what is going on here?"

Elayi turned her head to look at the big white wolf. She though she felt small before? Keeping her posture in a guard-let-down stance, she slowly stood and cowered before the two females. They knew eachother. They were part o fthe pack too. Again, she whimpered.
"I'm Elayi," It came out cracked and slightly messy. The vole's blood all over her muzzle and lips. Maybe she should have stuck with Heph, and not wandered the lands. Where was that alpha now?"Hephaestus let me join...I'm sorry, maybe I should have waited to wander..." She bowed her head to both of them, like she was an Omega instead of a Gamma. It would ave suited her temperment right now.
Afraid that the two wolves wer having none of it, she cowered again, waiting for punishment. The green wolf, Tawariel, smelled like a Gaama herself, and although the white wolf smelled of a Beta, she also sounded like she was of higher rank than she truly was.

Tawa smelled the white female before she saw her. Stumbling to the side of the stranger and dropping onto her belly, Tawa looked up at queen with calm submissive gold eyes. Her tail tucked itself around her green body. It was as if Tawariel was attempting to disappear into the green around her.
"If found this female with a kill in Alpha Heph's land. I did not know she was a part of the pack. I did not know she was family," Tawa groaned thinking that she would be punished right then and there for her mistake.
She wimpered, but did not flip onto her back thinking the female would know why Tawa did not know the stranger -Elayi- was part of the pack she had belonged to as a pup. Lately Tawariel had been keeping her distance from the pack, not knowing why she didn't feel comfortable around her own packmates. Maybe it was her past. Falling suddenly into a river to be swept into the jaws of the giant she now called her Alpha was strange enough. She suspected that she herself was just plain strange.
"I'm sorry," the green female grunted looking at her thick paws.

Dione was taken aback at the green femme's actions. Frowning, her ears going slightly back, she approached Tawariel and licked the female's ears. "Soothe. I'm not chastising you, Tawa. On your feet," she murmured, her voice calm and gentle. She had not meant to be so . . . commanding. Blaming her angsty mood, the elder female looked at Elayi.
"So my Heph has acquired another foundling? Elayi, is it?" Smiling, Dione dipped her head an inch. "Welcome to the pack. Forgive my suddeness. Hephaestus has a habit of informing me later of things he's done."

Elayi stood shakily, regaining her courage slowly. They didn't seem so...overwhelming, now. Maybe they could be friends. They belonged to the same pack now, after all.
"That's okay...what's your name?"
As soon as she said it, she almost kicked herself. How could she be so rude? Assuming that "my Heph"...she was the Alpha's mother for God's sake! 'At least show some manners, fleabag!' She scolded herself, bowing her head till her nose touched the ground, then bowing again to Tawariel. They both were being so kind, especially the white elder.
"Forgive me," Elayi looked down at her kill, licking some blood off her lips before nudging the kill forward. She was in a pack now, so she better learn to start sharing.

The green wolf almost squeaked as the former alpha's tongue scraped against her ear. Tawa stumbled to her paws and shook out her fur, a nervous habit. She had only seen Dione at a distance, never this close. She could feel the power leaking free from the white female's fur. And the new pack member, she seemed submissive and kind enough. Maybe the green wolf was wrong about the brown wolf.
"I'm the one who should apologize," she muttered averting her eyes from the brown female, "Elayi." She tasted the name as it rolled off her tongue. It wasn't too hard to say, yet not exactly simple. She watched as the small kill was pushed towards them. Tawariel was hungry, but she was a hunter. She wasn't too found of handouts an would only take them if she was so weak her limbs shook. She had eaten yesterday, so she felt fine.
Spying the rabbit, Tawa's heart sank. She had not seen any prey on her trek, but apparently both females had kills of their own. Was it just her pride that blinded her?

Dione cocked her head to one side as she watched Tawa's eyes flick from the vole to the rabbit then away. Humming to herself, the regal femme's tail waved gently back and forth.
"My boys will be hungry, is my guess. Come, let us find them something to enjoy for the evening," she said, giving the other female's a toothy grin. Though getting up there in years, Dione still loved the thrill of the hunt, and could chase down a deer with the best of them.

Elayi looked back up at the big white female and Tawariel. A hunt, she meant a hunt. Hunts were very, very fun. Even more so when you are with a pack. Her black ears perked up, and Elayi grinned back at the queen. "Yes, yes," She rose form her submissive postion and started to sniff the air for deer. Then looking over at Tawariel, she smiled greatfully.

Tawariel ears shot up and the fur at the base of her tail rose with excitement. She chased her tail once and shook out her fur. It had to be so much easier to hunt with others. After all, three noses and six eyes had to work so much better than one nose and only two eyes blinded by pride. She turned to the invisible path she had been wandering on, ready to continue her trek with her pack in tow.
"I was heading this way," she snorted pointing with her muzzle. Her tail swished slowly as she backed down for the higher ranking female to pass first.
"But wherever you go is fine my Lady," she quickly yipped in addition, "I will follow."
